Measuring the number of unique users who viewed an event on AmplitudeI know that there are cases where it usually increases even after 3-4 days. However, even after 3 weeks, the number continues to increase, and I wonder what is the reason. The left is data for July 6th. On the right is the data seen on July 11th.The latest data I saw today (7/20) is still increasing view-mainfeed (6/30) on 7/6 : 6203view-mainfeed (6/30) on 7/11 : 7410view-mainfeed (6/30) on 7/20 : 7890 https://community.amplitude.com/building-and-sharing-your-analysis-58/historical-total-number-of-unique-users-changing-over-time-especially-in-most-recent-week-1214I know about these issues. But can the value still increase after a long period of time?
Hi Community, New user here :)I’ve got a question, I want to create a cohort of users we call “manager” this can be identified by some events we have that only managers can do.The thing is, if i want to create it, i need to select “event” + OR + “event” + OR and so onI was wondering is there’s some kind of multiselect option so that i’d be able to pick all at once? Thanks!
We’ve created a pathfinder chart to understand how our users navigate through a flow with many branches. The ideal view would be a pathfinder chart that only shows “page view” events to tell us which pages the user stepped through. We’ve come across two problems when implementing this:The pathfinder allows a blacklist of events but doesn’t seem to let us whitelist events. We have quite a few events (eg: each time a request is sent/is successful we log an event as part of our engineering reliability/performance metrics). How can we effectively filter events in a maintainable way (so that we don’t have to keep updating the blacklist in the future)? Our page view events all have the event name “page.viewed” and the page URL/title are event properties. The pathfinder only shows “page.viewed” and I don’t see a way to surface an event property. So we can’t differentiate the different pages on it. Is there a way to solve this without changing our taxonomy? Thanks for your help.
Hello Community !I want to be able to create a funnel for a specific path in our Mobile app, and only count the users once in the funlle, event though they might come back in the funnel on a subsequent time.I could not find how to set this up in Amplitude, is there any one who has had the same issue and found a solution? Thanks !
I want to be able to download or explore an event in a funnel step further. For example, in this funnel, I want to explore the properties of the 3415 checkout events in a segmentation chart to see for example the average order value or products bought. Any idea how to do that?
Hi, I’m having an issue where I’m viewing several countries by N-Day Retention rate, however, when I export the CSV, the data seems poorly laid out. In the chart within Amplitude, it shows the cumulative number of users for each day (and the % of users that retain each day e.g. Day 0, 1, 2, etc). This is show on a single line cumulatively (e.g. if I’m looking at new users from dates June 1 - June 7, the chart shows all of these users added together, which is helpful). However, when I download the CSV, it parses out each individual date of the between range, making the process to play with the cumulative data prohibitively cumbersome. Does anyone know if there’s a way to download what I see from the chart within amplitude instead? Screenshots below of both the within-Amplitude chart and the CSV output. Thanks!
Hi all!I am extracting data from your API. right now I’m doing a funnel analysis and I’m using cs = ‘864000’ to get the result with “Completed within 10 days” ... … but what should I use to restrict it to “their first day” instead of “any day”, which seems to be default? Is this possible, as I can’t find anything about this in the documentation, and if not, is there a workaround solution? Grateful for any help!/Nils
Hi, I’m looking to create a chart that shows me the average minutes played for D0 users. I don’t need this broken down per day (this is the only chart I seem to be able to create), I just need the mean average across all D0 users. I also want to make a chart showing the retention after minutes played to see when players are dropping off similar to the charts in this article from google: https://medium.com/googleplaydev/why-the-first-ten-minutes-is-crucial-if-you-want-to-keep-players-coming-back-to-your-mobile-game-4a89031b6308 Thanks
Hello, I’m looking for a formula that returns maximum value of a property for each user. It’s something similar with this function if we have it, PROPMAXThe thread here doesn’t answer my question, as I want result for each user Could you help please? Thank you
I used the dashboard API to extract active unique users data, on segmentation view (image below). But for this, every time I try to extract the last 30 days data, I saw changes in most recent week (mostly the number increased). So for example, here is the extraction on:1st extraction on 10th June: Active Unique users on 9th June is 500 2nd extraction on 11th June: Active Unique users on 9th June is 511 3rd extraction on 12th June: Active Unique users on 9th June is 517**Additional data: I use User ID, and one User ID can have multiple devicesTherefore I want to ask, is this an expected behavour? And if it, why this is happen ya?Thanks!
Hi, I would like to compare retention for users that allow iOS notifications in our onboarding vs users that don’t allow it. For context, there is a specific screen in our onboarding called ‘onboarding_notification’ which has two event properties: ‘Allow’ and ‘Not Allowed’. I would like to use those to compare users, but I’m unable to select them. The problem is I can only select ‘performed’ a certain # of times. How could I achieve the result I want instead? Thanks in advance
Hello! I am trying to create an analysis where I need to know how many users performed at least once in the last month Event A OR Event B.So far, I was only able to create a segmentation where users performed Event A AND Event B. I’m pretty sure the solution is quite simple but I’m having a hard time to find it. How can I create this “or” relationship between two different events?
I have a chart that looks below where there is a downward trend as shown. This is a custom formula that I have calculated. I would like to exclude the last 4 weeks of data. Is it possible to add a statement to the formula so that the fisual goes from Apr 18 to June 12? I want to see all the data that is at least 4 weeks old!
Hi,Is it possible to create a graph, showing users who performed BOTH of these events with conditions:PAGE_CREATED (where event property APP_TYPE = FREE_VERSION)ANDPAGE_CREATED (where event property APP_TYPE = PAID_VERSION)We currently only know if a user upgraded, if he performed the same event with a different property. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
For our customers we provide daily recommendations that can either be followed or not. We provide these recommendations for several pieces of equipment at a customer site.So I have 2 events:Recommendation X Created - Generated when our algorithms create a recommendation for a specific piece of equipment Recommendation X Followed - Emitted when we detect that the recommendation was followed for that specific piece of equipmentFor example, for a given day there could be 20 Recommendation X Created events and 7 Recommendation X Followed events emitted. For simplicity assume the recommendation is a simple “Turn piece of equipment on at 8am”. In this example we will generate a different recommendation for each piece of equipment. So there are 20 Recommendation X Created events (each with different times.. like 8:05, 9:20, etc etc -- but ALL i care about is binary adherence… did you follow the recommendation or not for each piece of equipment)The question I want to answer: “In aggregate
When you write a user defined formula under the formula tab under the event segmentation chart, in my case, I have a very simple formula as shown below. The issue is that it states Formula A and Formula B for the legend. Is there an easy way to rename these two names? %: UNIQUES(A1)/UNIQUES(A2); Formula A: UNIQUES(A1)/ UNIQUES(A2)Formula B: UNIQUES(A3)/ UNIQUES(A4)
Hi! I’m playing around with the Lifecycle chart so I can learn something about people who start using or churn out of our product. In particular, I’d love to see which of our customer accounts those users are part of--are users from one customer leaving/joining en masse, or spread across many accounts, etc.?I see that I can drill into any particular group of dormant/resurrected/current/new users and get their IDs, but… IDs aren’t helpful to me. Is there a particular kind of yak-shaving I need to do to get the email and account data that is actionable? Or maybe even a way to get there easily?I tried the User & Account Lookup tool, but didn’t see a way to, say, upload a CSV or otherwise pass in the list of (hundreds of) IDs that I’m looking to analyze. Thanks in advance for your help!
Jumping on the "If a Spotify Playlist was X" trend for the Datamonsters in here.If a Spotify Playlist described Amplitude Analytics 📊📈Turned out to be a pretty eclectic one.Now you have something to tune in to while mining those data insights from your Amplitude charts🎧 🎶Any song or feature suggestions are welcome! 🙌🏽
I am trying to create a `Chart` of the top events grouped by certain custom event properties. However, I am unable to do so because the event properties don’t appear in the UI when building the chart. When I inspect the events using the User Lookup feature, I see the event properties I want to group by in the raw representation of the events so I can confirm that Amplitude has access to these properties. I am sending these events to Amplitude via Segment in case that’s important. What steps do I need to take in order to group by event properties? Thank you.
