Building and Sharing Your Analysis

I want to show the average or unique value of an event in the last 90 days, but grouped by day of the week. So I can see which days have more-less activity on that specific event.Is this possible?

Does anyone have advice on how best to see if a new feature has caused previously inactive or low activity users to become more active in your platform? The lifecycle chart doesn’t quite do this as there isn’t a single point in time I’m looking at as someone could perform this event at any given time since release. I’ve only been able to successfully do this by looking at each individual user stream and getting a general sense of their activity but as this feature gains more adoption, I won’t be able to keep up with the scale. 

Hi,We're trying out the Warehouse-native solution to see if it's a reasonable option for our company.While creating Journey charts, we would like to use the "Exclude specific events by property" filter option but this doesn't seem to be working.Could be that we are missing something in the setup but whatever filter we are adding here isn't appearing in the SQL query.Any help would be appreciated!

Hey, anyone knows how to calculate page level metrics (keeping constant Page URL dimension).What I need to to build a table with:Page URL > Page viewed event > Engaged event > Page engagement rateThe page engagement rate is calculated as follows: (number of engaged events / number of page viewed events) * 100. However, I'm unsure how to calculate this in Amplitude. I’ve attempted various methods to implement this formula, but for some reason, the results don't align with the engaged/page viewed values when I use the calculator.Again the metric must be page level, not session or user level.Many thanks to anyone that can help

Hello Amplitude communityI would like to ask if there’s a way to achieve the following:Funnel analysis with 10+ events In this funnel, users may have different events in the funnel triggered as their first step (not necessarily the first event of the funnel, which I understand it usually needs to be triggered for an user to be considered part of the funnel) The analysis is under “in any order” The specific use case is for a funnel that can start with users loading the Home Page (first event) but they might also be redirected from an external website directly to events 2, 3 or 4 of the funnel, and I still would like to consider them as part of the funnel. In this case, it would be possible that there are more users triggering event 2, 3 or 4 than event 1.Not sure if this is something feasible. Segmentation analysis would work for my case as a way to not have the events 2, 3, 4 depending on 1, but this type of analysis only allows up to 10 events.Any thoughts on how I can do it?Thank you

Hello Amplitude teamUnderstand that we can create a default user segment that applies to all new charts created in a project. However, is it possible to create a segment that is applicable to all new charts and updates all existing charts inside a project to this new default user segment?In my case, I would like to create a segment based on an user property in which property values are often added and need to be filtered/updated. Hence, if it’s applicable only to new charts/analysis, it’s not practical since I would need to update the existing charts one by one.Thank you

Hey, we're building an invoice approval solution. Users have multiple views like an inbox, an approval view, or an archive. Each view can contain multiple documents as todos: documents in your inbox, waiting for processing, open approvals, or all approved documents from the past in your archive.We believe that the number of documents a user has in each view is important context to understand behavior. For example, if you only have two approvals, then you probably don't search. But if you have 100+ documents in your inbox, then you probably search a lot.Our first idea was to attach these counts as properties to each page view event, but that would be too much load. So now we want to add a new event called dashboard_viewed that is being fired each time a user visits the dashboard, which also happens to be the first page visited after login.How can I combine the properties of the dashboard_viewed event with other event data, like page views?For example, I want to see how many searches (pa

I want to be able to create a cohort of returning users on a rolling basis. These would be users who do any event in the app, who had done the event ‘create an account’ on a previous day. I only seem to be able to create a cohort of users who had done the event before TODAY, not on a rolling basis so that I can see how many users on a given day were ones that had created an account on a previous day.Some example use cases of this:One of our partners sent out a marketing email last week, we want to see how effective this was at driving existing users back to the app. In our database we are able to see the number of users we had in a month, that had created their account in a previous month. We have seen a big increase in the number of returning users last month. We want to understand what brought them back to the app and what they did.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? 

Hi,anyone else with broken Data tables? We have a report with multi level grouping. It works on the top level, but when we want to group a row by another property, it say only “No data”. It worked well until yesterday.Since then, we are not able see the data. It is not a problem with our ingestion, it doesn’t display anything from history and as I said, it worked well until yesterday.It seems like a bug.

In my app, I have an “ad_click” event. When I try to plot average events per user I see that I have 2 events/user on average:  But I know that only minority of users trigger this event, most users don’t click on ads. Here is percentage of active users that triggered it: So this means that, if we count in users that never triggered the event, the number of events per user will be much less than 2 and even less than 1, probably around 0.1-0.2.How do I make this chart?

I’m new to working with such complex APIs in the marketing topic I am far from, but I’m trying to automate things for my company.What I need:I need to retrieve data of unique completed purchases by users in percentage (which is generally quantity of users that have successfully finished a purchase divided by quantity of unique users that have started the purchase). I know the period of time. I know the name of events. I understand which funnel I am working with. I have api key and secret key.What I do not understand and struggle with:What API should I use? AI Amplitude Assistant recommended me to use Dashboard REST API, especially Funnel analysis, but there are no details in documentation where to get funnel_id. And examples are not as complex as real-life ones (its a general issue for documentation as for me, because not all developers are of senior level). Hi all, I need a funnel chart where I need to group the second step in the funnel but not the first step.For example, imagine Event1 is a screen_view of a particular screen and Event2 is a button_tap. Imagine there are 3 different buttons a user can tap. I need to see the conversion of:screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonA) 60% screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonB) 10% screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonC) 30%When I try to group by button name, I end up with all conversion rates being 100% because it is also splits the screen_view by button name. I have used a formula instead of a conversion as a work-around (%:UNIQUES(A)/UNIQUES(B)) but this loses the order of events and can change the resulting value.Is there a way to view this as a conversion? basically converting from one starting point to 3 possible end points? Thanks in advance!**edit, to be clear the button names are an event property, not a user property

Hi everyone, I have an event which has a number of properties with different numbers (values).Is there a way to deduct the number within the property?For example an event called X with property Y equal to 10 and property Z equal to 5. Can I create a formula which does X property Y - X property Z, or essentially 10-5?Thanks,Etai 

HelloI have the following problem.I have added analytics for a new web funnel. The events remained with the same naming conventions. The only change is that I added funnel_id.When compiling funnel analytics, funnel_id=quiz-2 does not display any page except the very first screen. When switching to a specific user profile of a tester, these events are tracked and the user goes all the way through the funnel.What could be the problem?  

Hi there,We’re on a scholarship plan.Is there functionality in Amplitude to create World Map / Geolocation visualisations, besides for the un-editable artifact on the realtime dashboard? I want to see where users are when they open the app for the first time, and a World Map view for App Open events with historical count=1 would be great. I can see these values in the realtime event stream for each user.Is it possible to export Long, Lat values from Amplitude?

I’m trying to do a “time to convert” funnel analysis which looks at the duration between the first instance of an event and the last instance of an event. This is kind of a proxy for session duration, or dwell time, but it’s more flexible for our use case because it can span multiple sessions (as they’re defined by Amplitude). When I try to do this as a funnel showing time to convert, it just gives me the time to convert between the First event and the next instance of that event. How can I calculate the time between the First and Last occurrence of that event, with an unknown number of other events (including that same event) happening between those two bookends?   More examples: First event occurrence found (none prior to this in the timeslice) Here, in between the first and last event, any number of events could happen, including more of the same, for an undetermined amount of time.  last event instance found (none after this in the timeslice)For this case, the correct answer to “ti

Hi, I’m trying to view the average # of times a user has performed an event each month since they joined the platform. It would be great to see this for multiple events each month. Allowing me to select the events I’m interested in seeing would be great.  

I have created custom events, but when I try and filter live sessions by those custom events, I don’t see them - it’s blank.How do I ensure I see custom events filtered out correctly?
