Hi everyone, I need some help with understanding how to segment funnels. I need to measure the impact on funnel conversion, when users perform certain events vs not.So for example, my funnel is ‘viewed products > viewed basket > submitted the order from the basket”, and I want to see what’s the impact of users engaging with some filters on the product page. For this, I’ve created two segments, and was particular about setting the “any time - within 10 mins” the same time frame as the overall completion time of the funnel, to make sure I’m accurately ONLY including users who engage with the filter within the same journey, rather than a later session. Nevertheless, my confidence is low because the data surprises me, and when I explore the journey paths, I see some users engaging with the filters in the “didn’t use filter” segment and vice versa. Also, I am not quite sure how to get accurate trend data for this funnel, for example, weekly. Choosing: any time - within the same week
Hello Amplitude team! For weeks now we have not been able to get the user properties user_id and company_id to appear in the UI. I can assure you that we are sending this data as I can see it in the Amplitude Event Explorer. When I go to Data > Properties > User Properties I don't see these properties, but if I try to create them from the UI it tells me that they already exist. At this point we do not know what else to do, I have read all the related issues and still have not managed to get anything clear. In case it may be of help, these properties were seen recently, but at some point they stopped appearing, and we can't figure out why. We’re using the typescript browser SDK. Thanks in advance.
Hello - I am struggling with creating a session report that behaves like a funnel and shows conversion rate. i think the sessions reporting analysis is what i need but all i see is a “timeline” output. I am needing to see a purchase event / total numbers of sessions = conversion rateBut the closes thing i get is a chart at the bottom with the total number of sessions.
How can I make it so that both the development and production API keys are added to the Ampli file on ampli pull?
My organization has two projects: one development and production. They’re both tracking the same events and we’d like to be able to switch between the two projects as we’re using our application and changing environments. At first I manually added the development API key to the Ampli file, as there was a spot for it already above the production key, but whenever I use ampli pull in the terminal via the Ampli CLI to pull in the latest events, the Ampli file is regenerated and the development key I added is gone. How can I have both API keys pulled in and added to the Ampli file on ampli pull?
Hi Amplitude, We want to cross domain tracking for our landing site and product site. We found guide for cross domain tracking for JS https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/advanced-settings, but cant find the guide for typescript. How should I configure for cross domain tracking with typescript SDK then? Thanks in advance.
I am unable to opt-in to Amplitude dataWhen following instructions here:https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/8487457579931-Opt-in-to-Amplitude-Data#opt-in-to-amplitude-dataand accessing data.eu.amplitude.com, I am redirected to analytics.eu.amplitude.com/ and unable to opt-in to Amplitude Data.
The retention table given in this article:- https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050153551-Interpret-your-retention-analysis looks like this.. This article says that day 1 retention = (day 1 users)/ total users =2,480/ 10,830 = 22.9%day 2 retention = (day 2 users)/ total users = 2,339 / 10,830 = 21.6%and so on… so everything is clear. but in my case week 1 retention should have been = week 1 users/ total users =3708/ 10998= 33.71%week 2 retention should have been = week 2 users/ total users = 2811/10998 = 25.5% but in my retention table (see button of screenshot for table) the retention for week 1 is 38.8% and for week 2 this is 35.1% .. WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT.. Why the Denominator us changing in this case? PLEASE HELP
So we are using Amplitude’s built-in Session solution on our mobile apps. However, because of the very large amount of events it is using, we are thinking of just removing the “End Session” and keeping “Start Session”. I’m curious from Amplitude’s standpoint, are we able to just use “Block” feature on the “End Session”, but keep the Start Session? This would allow us to remove the “End Session” from our usage, while still keep each session by tracking “Start Session”. How I understand it, it should still technically work because Amplitude still tracks sessions the exact same way when apps enable Auto Session Tracking - by checking a maximum time threshold after the last event before a new session is created. So although the sessions will technically be shorter with End Session missing, it will still pick up the last event fired by the user and log that as a session, right? Or will Amplitude be expecting an explicit “End Session” and break if it doesn’t find it?
