Setting Group Properties in GTM

Hi everyoneI use GTM as the tool to setup the init and identification tagsI’ve successfully identified the group “Corp ID” but unable to track group properties even if I set through this tag:I asked the AI bot in the help center and it said “Currently, the Amplitude GTM (Google Tag Manager) template does not support the group identify call which is used to set group properties. ”But in the GTM’s doc it clearly includes the “Set” callI noticed that in the Set Group Properties tag, the label for setting is “User” property. Does this mean it actually not support setting up a “Group” property?I hope someone can tell me how do I set up and see the group properties:

UnknownError: Database deleted by request of the user error from Safari Mobile UI customers

Hey folks, my application is consistently receiving this error from customers who are using mobile browsers using the AppleWebkit engine - almost exclusively Safari Mobile UIUnknownError: Database deleted by request of the userI’ve tried to reproduce the error by using the app on Safari Mobile view and also using the actual Safari Mobile browser on an iPhone but had no luck.Could I get some assistance on identifying the underlying issue and potential solutions that folks have implemented? Thank you!Deweyn

Duplicated events with different ip addresses

Hi here, We find that sometimes we will receive duplicated events (same event id, same session id). Looks like the ips are different. The client time are the same but one client upload time has huge lag (several days to even two weeks)Is this expected behavior? It brings us some trouble counting user events, and we found about 7% of the events will be duplicated

How many users used 1 or more features?

I am trying to figure out a way to show distribution of users using 1 or more Event_Names out of a defined 4. Example: 50% of users used 1 event_name only 30% used 2 event_names 15% used 3 event names 5% used all 4 event namesEven answering the most basic version, “how many users used more than 1” is proving difficult, but it feels like the kind of thing Amplitude should be able to do. Any suggestions?

Unable to conditionally start session replay

Hey folks, I’m running into an issue where I can’t correctly conditionally add/remove the session replay plug in. My custom events appear on the Live events section but when I add them to a chart it seems like there as no event at all.

I have been testing and trying to work with amplitude for a week or so, and as the marketing team need to have a simple way to check the conversions and events, we created a chart for each campaign.When we test the events by visiting and clicking the call to actions several times, we dont see these events on the chart, but we are able to see them on the live events sections.Any idea about why this happens?

Link anonymous user data between web client and nodejs server events

We have a series of the following events:A new anonymous user lands on our website We set utm params and other user properties They make a purchase Server side registers the purchase and creates a user with userId. At this point in nodejs we pass the userId to amplitude identity and we send a “purchase event” to amplitude from the server. After that, client side receives the userId and amplitude web sdk also sets userIdThe problem that we run into is on step 5 the amplitude user that is attached to the “purchase event” is missing the utm and other properties that we set on step 1. My understanding is that it happens because amplitude only merges the user ids on step 6 and on step 5 amplitude knows nothing about a user with “userId” hence no fields. Question: What is the best way to make sure the “purchase event” has all the properties of the initial anonymous users? How do we tell amplitude nodejs sdk that we are dealing with a specific anonymous user?Seems like we need to pass deviceI

Events not tracking in react native?

Our events have stopped logging since May 29th.The problem:- We've been using amplitude for a week and event tracking has been working (data ingestion & live events look good).- 2 days ago, our data ingestion and live events have basically reduced to 0 (our database is showing users captured hence how we see the discrepancy in analytics).- See screenshot below from May 29th onwards:- We haven't made any code changes related to tracking.

Server events setting user ID not being merged with client side SDK user

Hello!Our app uses Apple’s original transaction identifier as the user ID, which is set either when the receipt is validated on the device (which is immediately after a purchase) or possibly via the App Store notification.We’re running into problems in a subset of our users where part of that subset seems to only have server side app store notification purchase history events, and some users never have a server event attributed to them, just the client side events. It seems likely to me that they just aren’t being merged correctly, although the originalTransactionId should be the same between both (and static, as per Apple docs).I found a help page here that suggests that setting the user ID on the server side can be problematic, which we think might happen if Apple sends us the notification (and we send an event to Amplitude) before the client receives the receipt and calls setUserId.The result is that while we still get all the purchase history, that large subset of users is a myster

Country and Region fields are empty for events sent from client via HTTP API v2

Hello,I’m working on client side windows application and I wanted to use Amplitude for analytics.The application is written on C# and I didn’t found SDK for it. So, I have decided to use HTTP v2 API to send events from the application. For some reason Region and Country fields in all events I send that way are empty. Could someone help me understand how to fix it? Is there some setting in Amplitude to enable automatic population of Country/Region?

Filter out Visitor ID/Amplitude id/E-mail

We are at a stage where our internal users testing on the platform creates a lot of noise on the analytics data (DAU, WAU, MAU). How do we exclude specific accounts (Visitor ID OR E-mail preferable, or if not Amplitude ID) from the analyses (Dashboards → WAU. DAU, MAU etc.)Thanks in advance/Krish

Multiple Amplitude IDs for a single user

We are running into 3-4 different problems with our data on Amplitude which I’d like to get help on. To start, we have instrumented the data into Amplitude via Google Tag Manager. Issue 1: Multiple countingFor a single user, he/she is being counted multiple times (see 3 amplitude IDs being generated for me). What is the basis on which Amplitude assigns a unique Amplitude ID? What this is doing is really blowing up the metrics where WAU, DAU and MAU look overly large Issue 2: How can we use E-mail or Visitor ID as the unique Identifier on Amplitude?  Issue 3: How can we get E-mail address and the Visitor ID in the downloadable “CSV” data? These are missing from the data.  Issue: Because the Vistor ID isn’t part of the CSV download report, I am also unable to view the entire ID in the Web UI

Setting different AppsFlyer IDs for iOS & Android

We’re facing data discrepancy between AppsFlyer & Amplitude.AppsFlyer support suggested that the issue may be due to invalid format of AppsFlyer IDs being sent from Amplitude to AppsFlyer servers.We want to set different formats of AppsFlyer IDs on Amplitude for iOS & Android. How do we do that?

Session Replay not displaying

Amplitude Logger [Error]: Load failed

Hi, everyone.I’m using @amplitude/analytics-browser on our web. Our front-end framework is Nextjs. And I follow https://github.com/amplitude/Amplitude-TypeScript/tree/main/examples/browser/next-app to set up.But recently, error `Amplitude Logger [Error]: Failed to fetch` always happen everyday, and fail to track this user on the amplitude platform.So I have checked our sentry project, to find out the details, like below:In our codes, I set userId which was given by our backend.```amplitude.setUserId(data?.data?.result?.userId);```The weird point is, some userIds happened those error. But the others worked well.   Do your have any clues about the error like these?

Simplest Android integration not working

Okay, so, I’m trying the easiest and simplest integration ever, just to test if it works. Here’s my code.For some reason, this is not working at all. Not even the “start” is recognized, and of course no events are being tracked. The thing is I just copy pasted this exact code onto the sample app, only changing the context for application context, and the button being an XML and not a composable one.Can you give me a hint on what may be happening?Note: Permissions on manifest are also set, of course

Amplitude fails to send post requests on deployed versions but is successful on local; no errors

We’re on a Next.js application and for some reason Amplitude does not work on deployed sites. The httpapi events do not show up at all under “Network.” There is no error anywhere, and the “Amplitude Event Explorer” plugin does not register anything. The same Amplitude projects ingest data from my local environment, which is the exact same codebase, just fine. Has anyone run into anything similar?On local, I get these requests and data is ingested as expected. On deployed sites these are simply missing.

Multiple First Name/Last Name Values in Amplitude

We are experiencing an issue where Amplitude is showing multiple values for first names, last names, etc., although we are sending single values (first name, last name, etc.) through Rudderstack from our side.Assumption: We believe Amplitude might be retaining previous login details and appending them to the new data. The support replied by saying:Amplitude's user property is sticky, so once the custom user property is set for users, it will associate with all subsequent events unless explicitly unsetting them.Please help us out by letting us know how to unset users.
