I can't configure a cohort to work as I intend it

Hi,I’ve been trying to configure a cohort of users and I think I might be missing something in the configuration. I do it through the Users → Cohorts → new cohort button. I wanted to create a cohort where users of a certain domain are NOT included in the cohort. I did so by asking amplitude to include users only if their email “does not contain” the string “@domain.com”. This condition is inside it’s own section in the cohort definition, so afaik, it should be ANDed with any other conditions to create the cohort.After that, I created a segmentation chart, and added “segment by” section, and added my cohort there.The problem is that I still see users from domain “domain.com” taking actions in the segmentation chart. I must be doing something wrong, or not understanding how this works. Can anyone help?

I am trying to filter users in a retention chart based on their earnings greater than a certain dollar amount over the past 1.5 years.

Hi, I am trying to filter users in a retention chart based on their earnings greater than a certain dollar amount over the past 1.5 years. However, I can only go till the last 365 days. It says in the Amplitude tutorial that I can filter based on the past 36 months if I used monthly data. I am using monthly chart but I don’t see an option to filter based on months. I tried using cohorts but I still cannot go past 365 days. How can I accomplish this?

I am trying to get the monthly credits earned by our plus customers (Customers who opted for a subscription)

I am trying to get the monthly credits earned by our plus customers (Customers who opted for a subscription). If a customer paid in that month, then his credits should be included and if the customer decided not to pay in that month, credits should not be included. I am not sure how to accomplish this in Amplitude. If I make a condition to check if a customer paid any one of the months, I get the credits of all the months and not the months when he actually paid.

How to exclude users with a Specific user status from Event Analysis

Hi Support Team,I need help excluding specific users from my stats in Amplitude. Here's an example:I have a user property called User Status that can change over time. For instance:A user views an article while their User Status is Active. Later, the same user is marked as Banned.I want to exclude all users with User Status set to Banned, so none of their events (even those from when their status was Active) appear in my analysis.How can I achieve this in Amplitude?Thank you!

Hi, So I am trying to view the information in a data table on the basis of the product names. I want to view how many times a set of events were triggered against specific products. Any idea how to resolve this issue? I have already set up the splitting property for products.

Users who perform an event every week

I need to calculate these two KPIs:How many users have performed an event every week since they signed up or since they performed it for the first time?  How many users have performed an event X times during the first 7 days since signing up?I would also want to see that as a trend, not just as a number.

Set up a group-level cohort with designated number of users performing events

Hi, I want to track how many active companies there are over time and found that setting up conditions for how many users perform the events is challenging in the custom cohort feature. When analyzing an engagement metric of a B2B product, having multiple users/ teammates actively use the product is a critical part of defining metrics. Defining only by the count of events is not sufficient to me.Do you have any suggestions for this analysis scenario? Or do I simply overlook some places to set up?

Misrepresented charts due to Non Registered users

Hello, our iOS app charts show inaccurate information due to Non Registered users.Most part of the user properties are asked as app customization questions in the onboarding process but are sent to Amplitude each time the user is in the App’s Home so we always have true and updated data.The issue we are facing is that the properties charts show a huge amount of Non Registered users with the property (it doesn’ matter the chart) tagged as None, despite the Non registered users ID is preserved after the user is registered.   Could you please help? Thanks!

Help with Event Tracking and User ID Issues in Amplitude

I have a few questions regarding our event tracking setup and would appreciate your guidance:Tracking Unique Shadow IDs Before Signup: In our app, before a user completes the signup process, the user_id is null, and we assign a unique shadow ID to track events. However, we're facing difficulty tracking these unique shadow IDs before the actual user_id is generated. Could you please guide us on how to properly track these shadow IDs in Amplitude? How to exclude users from charts by email? It doesn't work correctly

Hi everyone! Could you please help me with a problem related to excluding certain user emails from reports?As you can see in the screenshot, the email is in the filter (set to 'not equal'), but the screenshot also shows that this email is still appearing in the report. What could be causing this?

Comparing Date with "Today"

I would like to be able to compare a User Property Date to “today”. For example, if I want a cohort of users who are currently “subscribed”, there doesn’t seem to be a reliable and automated option to do that. If I were able to compare dates within User Properties to “Today”, then I would be able to create a cohort that is something like: “subscription expiry > today”, and I could keep a cohort of all my subscribed users. This works for a specific day, but if the day I’m comparing to is dynamic, then it seems I’m out of luck. Another example is for Experiment. I want user who are “subscribed” to see a specific variant. Again, I don’t think that’s really possible without sending an event to Amplitude when the subscription expires, which seems unscalable. Maybe it’s possible, and I missed it somewhere? Thanks in advance,Justin

User segments from comma separated list does not return correct output?

Hello!The event “Completed org creation” returns 32 event triggers in the Amplitude segmentation chart. I download those user_ids  (image 1) and create a comma separated list as stated here in order to create a segment to check those 32 user´s behaviour in other event.However, when I create the segment using the comma separated list of user_ids dowloaded from Amplitude, the “Completed org creation” event suddenly returns 9 instead of 32 event triggers. I am expecting the same number of triggers. I have checked that both graphs show unique users as well as have the same date range. What could be the cause of error here?

Create new user property

I am new to Amplitude & can’t figure out a basic thing. I have integrated Amplitude with my website & I have started receiving data.On my website, I wanted to filter our specific user ids, which I know are either my devices or people I know. So I created a new user property “Nickname” & will filter based on whether Nickname is set or not for a user id. The problem is that I’m unable to see this field inside the user’s details page. Where do I find & edit this field for specific users?

Aggregate events over a day for frequency calculation

I want to check how many users streamed a new song in the last 30 days1 user can stream a song multiple times a day, We consider a user as converted if he streamed the song once a day - I want to check how many user where active on this song per day in the last 30 days I want to see how many users streamed the song 1 or 2 or 3 or etc days out of the last 30 daysRight now if I use HLIST or Frequency for the event started song  with song_name=<The song I want> This will count a user multiple times if a user streams the song multiple times a day, the frequency of the output can be >30 even if I am looking at only 30 days data. I want to aggregate that into a daily level.  Essentially daily activation aggregate for this song, and frequency distribution of this daily activation Let me know if you want more clarification here. Example chart: https://app.amplitude.com/analytics/demo/chart/new/7m3ja4li

Average of ROLLWIN for a specific duration

I want to highlight the MAU for last week. Now, currently I do it by checking the MAU for the period of last 30 days, with the offset of 7 days. So it basically tells me the rolling average MAU for the day that was 7 days ago.What I want here is that I want the ROLLWIN for each of the 7 days of last week - and an average of that (Sum of ROLLWIN for 7 days / 7). This will essentially give me a single number which kind of covers all the 7 days in a single metric. Is there a way to solve it that way?This is needed as I want to compare MAU performance of last week and last to last week. Hope I was able to explain the situation.

Textbox with a single number calculated LIVE from the data source

I have been creating singular text boxes in Looker Studio using BQ data. This data is updated live with the BQ data and has specific date ranges set on it, for eg: last week or last to last week date range.I want to know how can I create such single data point text boxes with defined time ranges - which will give me a visibility on what my static metric is for any period of time. I will use this to create a dashboard for my team where they can see how any metric has been performing for different periods. Graphs for this type of analysis with multiple data points become too cluttered.
