Hi everyone! Hoping this community’s Amplitude expertise can help me out! I’m looking to answer the question of “what accounts or users haven’t used a specific feature in my application yet?” However, I’m not having much luck with building a chart that would help me analyze that data. Any ideas, thoughts, or insights on how I might achieve this? Thanks!
Hello! It looks like external users are able to edit text boxes on a publicly shared notebook. Is there a way to make the notebook “view-only” and restrict external users from making any changes to anything viewed in the notebook (similar to dashboards)?
I have an Event Segmentation chart with two events, with greatly different amplitudes. I'd like to express them as a percentage change from a (start of period) baseline. This is common in finance. For example, here is a YTD comparison of two indexes (S&P 500 and a Cryptocurrency index). Note how each line is shown as a percentage change from the first time period inthe graph:https://www.google.com/finance/quote/NYXBT:INDEXNYSEGIS?window=YTD&comparison=INDEXSP%3A.INXAny idea how to do it in Amplitude? Thanks!
Hi We were curious about the sign up ratio from our users, and whether they set nickname after signing up.So, I made below segment chart, counting unique user number for any event.-user seg1: sign in status =0, nickname= guest ( the user who didn’t sign up, so the nickname is set as guest, the basic form)-user seg2: sign in status=1, nickname = no nickname (the user who signed up but didn’t add nickname)-user seg3: sign in status=1, nickname != no nickname, guest ( the user who signed up and add nickname also) the result were like this# of unique users daily, seg1 user 60%, seg2 5%, seg3 35% (avg of 30 days)# of unique users weekly, seg1 user 65%, seg2 7%, seg3 28% (avg of 4 weeks)# of unique users monthly, seg1 user 68% seg2 10% seg3 22% (avg of 3 months) but it went up.I thought some users might need more time than a day or a week to sign up, so the percentage of seg 1( not signed up users) will go down in weekly or monthly basis.but actually it went up. How could this possibly happen
Hello! What I’m trying to get at is, essentially, what version a particular user was on when they first downloaded the app. I realized, to my surprise, that I couldn’t find a “download date” or “first session date” anywhere (that I can find, anyway--does that exist and I’m just not seeing it?), so I thought that understanding what their first version ever was could be a good wayBut I don’t know if ‘Start Version’ is doing what it seems to indicate? I know what the help article says, but for me, the data doesn’t pass the gut check (it could be that my gut is totally malfunctioning though!)This is a User Sessions chart with sessions grouped by Start Version, and what it seems to show is that users that started on versions prior to teal and orange aren’t generating as many sessions. Does this seem “right” to you folks? Thanks for any help!
How do I track the events that occurred to a particular object/group? Is there a particular chart type that might help with this? The user/account look up looked promising, but didn’t pan out. I’m playing with the demo and I can see a stream of events for a particular user. How do I see the stream of events for a particular playlist in the demo? If I have a bunch of events with the same property is there a way to see all the events that occurred with a given value of that property. This would be another way that I might want to solve for this use case

Hi Team,we have made 2 report in a dashboard which gives us user count for particular event common to both graph. In User session Report : we get 1 unique user (paid section) on day 22 Feb 2022 who performed competiton event for that session. whereas In Competition User Sessions : where we made report based on event performed for those session (Competition - paid section) where that user goes missing. Please find attached screenshot for both activity. we request if your team can help us to discuss these points over call would give us more clearity. Competition User Session ( Paid) for 22nd Feb count : 0User Session ( Paid) for 22nd Feb count : 1
Hi, I found the discrepancy between funnel analysis and show user paths. This is my setting:exclude Auth ModalAnd the result is as follow: Regarding the third bar, I expected:Gray area is the No. of users who performed Auth Modal so it is excluded Heavy green area is the No. of users who didn’t performed Auth modal and perform the action I needWhat I don’t know is what the light green area mean? In my assumption, the area from light green and heavy green means users who didn’t performed Auth modal. But after looking into “show user paths”, it shows only 28.8% of users who didn’t perform Auth modal and the number is near the heavy green area. Where did the light green area come from?
Hi ,I am quite new in Amplitude and recently successfully implemented S3 integration by the book as listed below . https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044561111-Integrate-Amplitude-with-Amazon-S3Everything works fine exclude the format of the file is .json.gz instead of CSV as expected . Is there a way to change a format to CSV by default ?
Can User Properties fire as null on events even if a User Property for that user has been seen before?
Hi All,I have a question around user properties with the goal of getting an accurate understanding of our MAUs.We have a platform which allows our admins to impersonate a client user, this allows them to see an identical version of the platform that the client user would see. The admin can then complete tasks on their behalf which fires events as the client user.I want to be able to tell the difference between events fired by a real client user and an admin impersonating a client user. There is a user property we use called impersonating_user_id which captures an id of the admin who is doing task on their behalf. My question is: If an admin 1234 impersonates the client user 5678 on Monday and fires an event the user property impersonating_user_id would capture user 1234 on that event. If the next day the client user 5678 logs onto the platform as does actions themselves and fires events. In this case would the impersonating_user_id property fire as null as no one is impersonating? or does
Looking for insights for an interesting Funnel conversion situation. I’m wanting to exclude users who come to the transaction screens if they managed their giving, except if they actually did a transaction. Here’s a visual of how I’m thinking of it.Transaction metricsSo if a person does an action on the transaction screen and does a transaction, even if they checked their history, I do want to count their conversion. However, if they only checked their history on the transaction screen, then I don’t want to count them. Here’s the equation I’m thinking of:Transaction Conversions/(Action on Transaction Screen - Manage Actions without Conversion)How do I do that in Amplutide’s Funnel?

I wish to send a daily reporting of key metrics (a “Team Space”, or selected charts) daily, at 8am, on a specific Slack channel. How do I do that? I’ve added the Slack integration and it works, but now I’d like to automate it for a daily reporting and I haven’t found any documentation about that.

It’s only returning dates only. Please let me know what am I doing wrong here. Thanks
I created a User Session chart as below.I added the chart to the dashboard and wanted to filter all charts based on the event prop `store`. As can be seen from the following chart, the filter is working on all charts except the session chart. Is this a known bug or how can I do this?
Hi folks 👋 Mallory here. I run the Amplitude blog (https://amplitude.com/blog/) and was editing an article when a question came to mind:Which user behavior metrics really matter? There’s retention, churn, and engagement of course, but beyond that—Which user behavior metrics do you care about? Let me know what you think; I’d love to bring the feedback into an upcoming blog post!
Hi,I found I can not see the total conversion rate on the funnel, while I could see it before, Does that result from product change or my settings on the charts? If it is from my settings on the charts, where can I retrieve the total conversion rate for the funnel? Thanks! Current chartPrevious chart
I am sorry for the harsh language but this is absolutely bizarre, convoluted and amateurish. I couldn’t wrap my head around it, because I didn’t think you would make such peculiar logic leaps: So, basically retention gets calculated as a percentage BUT WITH DIFFERENT COHORTS EACH TIME. This by itself is fine, but who though it was a good idea given said assumptions to put a percentage result??? The least you can do isBy default show calculations for completed cohorts only e.g I have asked for retention over 7 days perdiods show me only the completed 7-day cohorts. Allow me to see absolute numbers! Allow me to see number of users actually having performed the retention. This, bizarre I repeat combination of calculating + presenting data leads to this head scratcher:Each day here has a different percentage Day-4 seems to have a higher percentage than a previous day. EVERY SINGLE DAY HAS 6 USERS performing the retentions BUT DIFFERENT PERCENRAGE RESULT. I have read the relevant thread
Hi all! Is it possible to track multiple conversions in a funnel report? For example, in a 2-step funnel, step 1 would be a single event, but then step 2 could be one a few different events – and a user could complete any number of them, and they’d all be included in the report.Essentially I’m trying to avoid building a separate report for each different event I want to measure in step 2, because step 1 will remain the same (and I also want to break it down by particular property of step 1).Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions!
