Learn, ask questions, or help others with sending data and extracting data from Amplitude. This is where you can ask and get feedback on questions such as: ✅ How do I track the first page view?✅ How do I instrument a duration property?✅ How can I ingest events via HTTP API v2?✅ How do I pull a specific event (with all event properties) and export to CSV?✅ What should be the approach to track push notifications?✅ How do I get a list of all active users/events/sessions via the API? Hello everyone,I wanted to know that is there any way that if a user logs out and then perform any events, than those events should be not linked to the previous logged in user ID without changing the device ID.I know right now the only solution is to regenerate device ID while logging out, but I wanted to mantain that device ID to know how many unique peoples are using from that device ID.
I’m trying to integrate Amplitude with Zapier / make or other tools alike. I’d like to once a day capture results from my charts, and process them with automation tools like Zapier. Has anyone done anything like it? Do you know if I could find any tutorials about it?
Hey guys! We are currently using Amplitude for our Production, Staging and UAT environments. Our growth team are keen to get our marketing sites set up on Amplitude so we can track usage and journeys end to end. I wasn’t sure whether we would get that desired outcome if we were to set up the marketing site/s in a new project? Is there a way with them segmented by project to still do some analysis across project to understand our users journey from the marketing site, through our app? Or is there a way to add it to the same project without damaging the integrity of it? I hope that makes sense! Any guidance / thoughts would be incredibly helpful. Mark
Running a React Native app with "@amplitude/analytics-react-native": "0.8.0", an error occurs after losing network connectivity:Amplitude Logger [Error]: TypeError: Network request failedWrapping the Amplitude methods with try/catch does not affect the triggering of this error, leaving me to assume it’s an issue with the SDK. Is this a known issue or do you have any solutions that you can provide?
As part of our migration away from Google Analytics to Amplitude as our primary tool for websites/ apps I'm doing some validation of marketing channel/ campaign data from UTM parameters. In our "utm_medium" parameter we have a value of "organic"; this has a value of 6,791 sessions in Amplitude for a particular time period....but over in Google Analytics it's vastly higher at 20,803 for the same time period. I've set saveParamsReferrerOncePerSession to false in our Amplitude tags in GTM, and also left unsetParamsReferrerOnNewSession set to false....this configuration I believe should reflect the Google Analytics default "last non-direct click" attribution, so I'm struggling to understand why Amplitude is reporting so much lower? One thing that did cross my mind is that I don't see utm_medium = organic passed in the URL query string for all clicks from Google organic results for our site. Which suggests to me, perhaps, that Google Analytics might have some automatic config somewhere to be
Hi, guys. I’d like to find myself in Amplitude User-Look up (or User cohort report). So I downloaded Airbridge’s <My Device Id> application to see my device id which is the same with IDFV (right?) But I still cannot find myself in Amplitude User-Look up with putting my IDFV in device id. Unfortunately we don’t track user’s email or mobile number so it’s quite hard for me to track my data. Any tips for me?🙏🏼
We’ve recently added several events to our mobile app. Unexpectedly, some events are not visible in event list on Data page or not appearing in Analysis. They are across at least 3 status:Appearing in event list and available in Analysis Appearing in event list but unavailable in Analysis (cannot choose that event for creating a chart) Some of them have an error icon in event details - however, other events with the same error message are still available in Analysis. Not appearing in event list However, I can see them in Amplitude project for Dev environmentI’ve checked related topics but haven’t found solutions. Really appreciate your help!
Hello, I’m trying to specify the platform field when triggering a logEvent, but thanks to the post below I found out that for the JS SDK the “platform” field always stays as “Web”, so, is there a way to manually change this?I tried using something like:amplitude.options.platform = “Android”Before logging the event, but that didn’t work.
Hi,I need advise on how to better organize tracking via Amplitude.CONTEXTWe have 3 different space: A) Public website with content B) Web app (Single page application with some onboarding form) C) IOS mobile appEvents coming from A are sometimes (usually) coming from anonymous users until they sign up or log in and then we identify them. When user login via B) web platform we create a user_id and he can fill in the onboarding form or see a screen with QR code or button to download the app. Or user can sign in via app for a first time and we create user_id at that moment. I want to implement JS SDK Web Attribution to track some activity on Web ( click button, view page) but most important store UTM parameters as user property and send it with all event user perform on mob app. So the goal performs behavior user analysis in mobile app based on the source he came from (utm source, campaign and others). The questions are:1) Could I create two different projects Web and Mobile and share o
Hello,I have a scheduled job that exports data from Amplitude into BigQuery every 6 hours. There is one specific event that is in Amplitude but not in the export to BigQuery. What’s the best way for us to figure out the root cause of this issue? Thanks for all the help here!Lawrence
I’m trying to complete Amplitude Data's AppsFlyer integration based on this article, but Data - Destination page says that AppsFlyer integration is not available and Coming Soon. I want to check if it is really unavailable or if is it a limitation of my account. Thanks
Hey! We are currently using the Android and iOS SDK. And it works great in most cases. However we have found a problem with the Android side that results in missing some events and user properties. What seems to happen is that the first events happening is sometimes not being uploaded to your database. So we can see that some users is in a screen_view that should not be possible to begin the session with. That’s why it seems to be a problem with uploading event. We have an initial step with uploading user properties, such as: android_logged_in: yes/no. But those will not be uploaded. This results with an average of 5 new users missing this property each day. which is just a tiny percentage but still annoying. Do you have any tips how to solve this?
Hey, I’m struggling getting to created branches in Amplitude Data. after the branch is created, I’m still on the main branch and I can’t figure out how to switch to this new branch. The only UI i see to switch is that original drop down and it only shows the same main branch.I feel like I’m missing something here, is there a UI anywhere to look at branches you’ve created and switch to them? Thanks so much for the support!
TypeScript SDK, on ampli pull : gives error Sentry dropped data due to a quota or internal rate limit being reached.
