I have an event, lets call it “FoodPurchased” that gets trigged on checkout. FoodPurchased has a property DishName. How do I compare and see the number of times they’ve been triggered in a period. y axis is the frequency and x the property names?
Hi, My colleague and I have been trying to recreate our entire upload funnel for sellers on our website. With this we would like to be able to see more specifically at which points in the flow our users usually drop-off.In doing so we encountered multiple events that are optional, and we also found the option to make events optional in the funnel. It also really helps that you can group multiple events inline, so that a multi-step process within the flow can become optional. The upload process can however not be completely recreated because we are only able to make one event optional. Why is that exactly? We would like to be able to recreate every step using our Events “in exact order”.How would you advice us to go about in our situation? How can we map out our entire funnel in the most exact way?Thank you in advance for your advice.Kind regards,Jonne Zomerdijk
In an attempt to check on engagement on a page, I’m trying to find the most popular events on a given set of webpages. I normally default to pulling unique users on any active event, but in this case switched to event totals, on a filter of the page URL containing a specific condition.I don’t really see a way to do that, and the default Amplitude Event Name seems to (I assume) only focus on Amplitude default events, rather than events we’ve created. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
Hey guys, I’m trying to create a chart to visualise the evolution of the 5 day LTV generated by clients over time. I have created a cohort for customers who subscribed the same week. I would like to plot the 5 day LTV of the cohort week 1, then the 5 day LTV of the cohort week 2… On the x-axis would be the cohorts (from week 1 of subscription until week n), and on the y-axis their 5 day LTV. Any ideas how I could do this ? Thanks ! Greg
How can I track average amount of actions for 30 days among users cohort (e.g. new June users)? Here I try to make a graph, but it turns out that users from June 21 count actions only for 9 days (till the end of June), not for 30 days. I need to track 30 days average among users that made their first action on June 1st as well as for users that made first action on June 30th.https://app.amplitude.com/analytics/demo/chart/new/ci2uwh38
Hi,I want to analyze how many songs have been played by (e.g.) length, but count each song only once.So imagine 10 times a song has been played, I want to know that 3 of them were 5mins long, and 2 of them 6 min, but not count every unique song only once. (so 5 songs were counted already)So far I can only count unique users or total events, both do not do the trick. The song played event has a songID property.Any help is appreciated.
Similar to the distribution of session length in the User Sessions graph, I would like to have a distribution of (number of) user sessions per user that shows the same kind of histogram.e.g1 Session - 2.000 users2 Sessions - 5.000 users3+ Sessions - 10.000 usersIs this possible in Amplitude?I did not find such an option in the User Sessions chart. What I tried is the Segmentation Chart with a custom formula using HIST() AND PROPCOUNT() on the Session ID, but I could not get a working chart.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When I filter for a specific URL with a dashboard level filter it applies to both event 1 & 2 of funnel charts when I only want it applied for event 1. I know I can remove it ad hoc but there will be multiple users on the dashboard filtering for different URLs. Is there a way or a setting to have dashboard level filters be applied to only event 1 and NOT event 2?
Hello!Could you help use with the OS field issue? We are using Segment that sends data to the Amplitude. All of our users are using only Web. What we get is the OS field has in its value operational system of the web device, for example to Mac OS 117 or Windows 118. I would find it correct but according to the docs, OS field is supposed to be the name of the user's mobile operating system or browser. As I understand it should be the browser in our case because there is not traffic from the mobile. What can be the issue? How can we get the browser version? Ideally, we want to know the browser, its version, OS, and its version. Is there a way to achieve this? The data that Segments collects is correct. It sends User agent and User agent data when possible. Also, what is the reason for OS being two different things, like "ios 9.1" or "Chrome 46"? It’s confusing. And moreover, with this setup, we don’t have a full picture. Thanks!
Hi there! I'm looking into a funnel analysis with 4 major steps, A, B, C and D. But it would be very important to filter users by a user property X that is set on B step/event…In this case, if I create a funnel "Conversion from A to D" and filter users by property X, will Amplitude understand which users had received this property on step B and consider them from the beginning? Thanks! :D
I have created charts on the amplitude dashboard to view the metrics grouped by by platform type(lets say platform A or platform B). Currently, when I try to view the summary metrics on the charts, we have the option to view the summary metrics for either platform A or platform B. Is there a way to configure the summary to view the sum/average of the metrics for platform A and platform B together on the charts?
Hi all,I’m trying to formulate a question into an Amplitude query, but I’m not sure exactly how to. I have a view_page event (for any page view on our site) and a start_session event (for any session on our site). The simplest version of the question is: if someone performs more page views in a session, does that make them more likely to come back? Does a higher view_page divided by start_session mean more start_sessions in future?I am ideally looking for an indicator of causation, but I’ll settle for correlation at this point.I can create a segmentation chart that does a formula on totals(view_page)/totals(start_session) to see averages, no problem. I can even segment this view by people who have done 1 session last month v.s. 2 sessions v.s. 3-5 sessions etc etc. But I kind of want the inverse of this - to count the sessions, but segment by the totals(view_page)/totals(start_session) value. The retention chart seems like it would be the right place, but gives me no way to do the total
I’m brand new to Amplitude and would like some clarification on the difference of the following features. The question I’m trying to solve is: what are people’s first landing page? I’ve tried the following three ways:1. under Data table chart, group by Event Name (covers all the pages I care about) under “overall” then make use of first-touch attribution after I selected “Any Active event” as the event, note that time period is set to last 30 days2. like above, under Data table chart, group by Event Name (covers all the pages I care about) under “overall” and used Session Entries to get break down of counts of each event name3. under Event segmentation chart, pick a page then set Historical Count = 1st ( and I will be doing the same thing for other pages to compare them against each other )Any help/explanation are appreciated, thank you!
My use case is this. I need to measure unique logins to my system. User A has user id 100 and logins in via mobile in the morning and logins in via laptop in the evening. So there are 2 unique events now. However for both these unique events the event property (user id) is 100 only. So now I want to know events for unique event property. For example: - If user A with user id 100 logins in mobile and laptop and User B with user id 102 logins in with mobile and laptop - there are 4 unique login events. However from my POV there are only 2 unique users only. Please explain to me, how to build a chart for this. Thank you
Hi, I’m trying to create bar chart in the segmentation tool. I’m using the formulas. I would like one of the bars in my chart to have a fixed value (“1.72”). I tried to write it in different ways in the formula form, but I always get an error from Amplitude. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks
Hi, my organization has the Accounts Add-on feature, which we use to track “license” level behavior in our B2B product. So, we track individual user behavior, but also associate users with a higher-level license, which we define as a “group type”. For simplicity, we can assume most users are associated with 1 and only 1 license group. We want to track not only DAU/MAU, but also DAU and MAU per license. So, something like the UNIQUES(A) formula that calculates MAU in an event segmentation chart, modified to something like UNIQUES(users) / COUNT DISTINCT(license groups). Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Thanks!
Hello, I’m trying to understand how I can build a cohort of users who had a pageview before the last 90 days and have not since. However, the way the logic is built now seems very confusing. Is this the correct way to look at it? The way the logic stacks makes it very confusing. The way I read this is, user did page view since jan 1, then if at any point since that date they did not do pageview within 90 days, they are included. That does not get to the essence of the question, which are users who have not done pageview in the last 90 days.
Hi, I am trying to add all the data with similar values in charts, however I am not sure of the process. For eg: If there are following unique users by OSAndroid - 100Ios - 200Mac OS - 100Samsung - 200 When the chart is displayed, I want to add Android + Samsung & ios + Mac OS, so that following output can be viewed in charts: A (Android + Samsung) - 300B (ios + Mac OS) - 300 Thanks,Mahesh
