Using Amplitude

How do I grant access to specific projects for certain users?  Or put another way:  How do I limit the projects certain users have access to? I have a subset of users that I want to grant access to only a specific project.  I do not want them to be able to access/see other projects in our organization. I’ve not been able to find a way to do this and documentation appears sparse on this use case, though it seems like it should be pretty straight forward.  Any insights welcome!  Thanks!

Hi everyone,I’m facing an issue with the Device_ID of our users. Normally, the same device should retain its ID for each event it triggers, but with our users, the Device_ID changes almost every time they start a new session in our mobile app. This causes a tracking problem, especially when the user hasn’t logged in yet.For additional context, based on previous discussions on the topic: we are indeed using the SDK, and we haven’t configured any step that would trigger a regeneration of the Device_ID.Does anyone have any insights on how to prevent the Device_ID from regenerating across sessions?Thanks in advance!

Hello, our iOS app charts show inaccurate information due to Non Registered users.Most part of the user properties are asked as app customization questions in the onboarding process but are sent to Amplitude each time the user is in the App’s Home so we always have true and updated data.The issue we are facing is that the properties charts show a huge amount of Non Registered users with the property (it doesn’ matter the chart) tagged as None, despite the Non registered users ID is preserved after the user is registered.   Could you please help? Thanks!

Hi, I’m currently trying to integrate Amplitude’s API with an app on Bubble.io to get interactive dashboards which do not exist on Amplitude (only the events data is on Amplitude). However, I’m blocked because of some filters I should add that could have empty values in Bubble and should be ignored in the call. Hello Amplitude community. I have encountered a very strange problem with one event (at least I discovered only one so far) not being delivered. Hey everyone, So I get that events are best suited to track on the user level.In the app that we build a user is a global user that can join and be a Member of several different organizations. (think slack, workspaces) So my question would be how would be best to build the user properties so that you can show in which workspaces a user is part of and the role they have. I see there is concept of arrays in the docs but let’s say I’m in workspaceA with role1, workspaceB with role1 and workspaceC with role2.https://amplitude.com/docs/sdks/analytics/browser/javascript-sdk#arrays-in-user-properties Also see there is account add-on in amplitude (have not seen it yet, waiting for plan upgrade) and wonder how this could be useful, for example, to easily make aggregate reports based on workspaces (regardless how many users are there)https://amplitude.com/docs/analytics/account-level-reporting Would appreciate feedback/advice from someone that have tackled those problems before. Best,JD

I started with reading manual and diving into the academy but I would appreciate to bounce of thoughts/ideas on initial setup in amplitude. The setup My situation is we have a website (no user session) and product in the following platforms:website (no session) product app ( user logs in )The thing is we have legacy product let’s call it version 1 and a new product version 2. I read manual, academy, and community topics and I still cannot 100% wrap my head around what exactly project boundaries are?My current understanding. Project boundaries:events (including sources & destinations) each event is persisted per project. I guess that’s the case as it’s even recommended to have test vs production projects in place to not pollute with wrong events event plans event naming conventions reports & dashboards (with the relevant events they are based on from within this project) access levels of amplitude users the imposed limits (e.g. num events, num event properties, num user properties) session definitionSpaces boundaries:absolutely no idea what those are and useful for. Does this go across project and you can essentially organize/bookmark different dashboards/charts ?

We recently migrated from Google Analytics 4 to Amplitude, and all of our users are now being considered as new, even if they're existing users. We'd like to maintain the continuity of our user data. Is it possible to import historical data or backfill key interactions to preserve user history? If so, what's the best approach to do this, especially for the most important user actions? Are there any limitations or best practices we should be aware of when attempting this kind of data import?

Hey everyone!We recently started using Amplitude (on the Free Starter plan) for our company however I’ve already hit a bit of a snag. Some of our users, including myself, are no longer being tracked “Users & Sessions”, hence I can’t QA the journey against the events I’d like to track in my plan.The weird part is, we used to see tracking data for these users up until a couple of weeks ago, but now it’s as if they’ve vanished from any browser they use. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any ideas on what might be causing it and how to fix it?Thanks a ton for your help! 😊

USING CHROMEMy user, for example, is not creating any events - it's like the Amplitude tracking doesnt exist. I can see this in the Amplitude extension and in Amplitude live events. My user just never appears when I'm using a normal tab.BUT if I do the same in an anonymous tab and login in my platform, then my user is tracked.  I don't understand if this is related to cookies, but it shouldn't be. My trackings always work in the Amplitude websites and in the other platform that I used to work on.  Why is this now working? I'm afraid I'm missing other users' trackings. Like, this is literally happening, because a client sent me a screenshot of their screen when they were using our product, but they werent showing in the Amplitude events. But again, I can't understand why some doesn't work. I can see events being generated for some users, but I know for sure that we are not tracking all of them.
