Using Amplitude

We've recently identified an urgent issue that requires immediate attention.Issue Description:We've observed substantial traffic from "FacebookBot 1" (over 95% of total traffic) . This traffic has shown abnormal growth recently, causing our usage to significantly exceed expectations My question is what is "FacebookBot 1" and how to disallow this bot’s scrawler behavior?  

I'm looking to hire an Amplitude expert for my AI consumer startup, which is backed by Google. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'd love to connect with any potential candidates. This would be a remote role, with both part-time and full-time options available.

We are on growth plan, but not able to start a feature experimentation, does anyone has any idea? 

Hi There We are experiencing this maybe unique or not unique situation, where we do not want to directly send the event to Amplitude directly as we’ve got segment collecting the event and sending it back to Amplitude, which is the preferred flow. At the moment when the user fires an event it is collected twice. Is there any solution for this. We are using the new browser SDK2.Kind Regards Vallis

In my app, I have an “ad_click” event. When I try to plot average events per user I see that I have 2 events/user on average:  But I know that only minority of users trigger this event, most users don’t click on ads. Here is percentage of active users that triggered it: So this means that, if we count in users that never triggered the event, the number of events per user will be much less than 2 and even less than 1, probably around 0.1-0.2.How do I make this chart?

I'm encountering numerous errors in the Amplitude Session Replay plugin:Failed to execute 'matches' on 'Element': The provided selector is empty. These errors originate from libs/plugin-session-replay-browser-1.4.0-min.js.Despite this, session replays function correctly, but the volume of these errors is concerning.Has anyone else experienced similar errors with the Session Replay plugin? Are there known causes or solutions for the 'matches' on 'Element' error related to empty selectors?Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyoneI use GTM as the tool to setup the init and identification tagsI’ve successfully identified the group “Corp ID” but unable to track group properties even if I set through this tag:I asked the AI bot in the help center and it said “Currently, the Amplitude GTM (Google Tag Manager) template does not support the group identify call which is used to set group properties. ”But in the GTM’s doc it clearly includes the “Set” callI noticed that in the Set Group Properties tag, the label for setting is “User” property. Does this mean it actually not support setting up a “Group” property?I hope someone can tell me how do I set up and see the group properties: 

Hi Amplitude Community, I noticed in my UTM source breakdown that the total number of users (4,336) matches exactly with the '(none)' category, even though I have other utm_source values like TikTok (214 users), Instagram (189 users), etc. Shouldn't '(none)' only represent direct traffic? Why would it match the total instead of being a subset? Is this a tracking configuration issue or expected behaviour? Would greatly appreciate help, thank you!

Hi there!I'm implementing Amplitude through GTM. I've disabled the autocapture of pageviews from the init tag as I would like to have control over exactly which parameters I’m sending to Amplitude. However, in the init tag, I see a checkbox for 'Track marketing attribution'.1/ If I create a pageview as a custom event and leave 'Track marketing attribution' checked, is there anything that should be included in the custom pageview event regarding UTMs or similar parameters?2/ What is the consequence of unchecking 'Track marketing attribution'? I assume it means it won't track any UTMs or assign the source of traffic based on URL parameters like fbclid, etc. If I want to set this up manually, how should it be done?Thank you!

By default with the browser SDK, we can get it to track a “Pageview” event which has properties like page_url, page_domain and page_path.I can then query that to our heart’s content but it’s a bit of a pain each time to specify the domain to differentiate between our marketing site and web app (for example).Also, in the event stream seeing “Pageview” just repeated isn’t helpful since it forces us to click on each one to see the page domain and path to even understand the order of their navigation: Even worse, in Amplitude’s “Pathfinder”, a generic Pageview event then looks like this which is not very unhelpful: I’ve seen this older (2014) blog post making a case for not needing a pageview type event, but I think this is naive because an event of viewing a page is just as important in how we attach analysis of user flows as it is to look at an event causing someone to get to that page. It is easy to filter who signed up on specific month, i.e, September in this example, through adding event condition.Yet, the results are coming based on the specific month’s performance, which causes problems. Hi all, I need a funnel chart where I need to group the second step in the funnel but not the first step.For example, imagine Event1 is a screen_view of a particular screen and Event2 is a button_tap. Imagine there are 3 different buttons a user can tap. I need to see the conversion of:screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonA) 60% screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonB) 10% screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonC) 30%When I try to group by button name, I end up with all conversion rates being 100% because it is also splits the screen_view by button name. I have used a formula instead of a conversion as a work-around (%:UNIQUES(A)/UNIQUES(B)) but this loses the order of events and can change the resulting value.Is there a way to view this as a conversion? basically converting from one starting point to 3 possible end points? Thanks in advance!**edit, to be clear the button names are an event property, not a user property

Hei,  How can I create a derived property that evaluates an array event property?I have this clause in my derived property:IF( PROPERTY('array_property', 'event')>10000000, "bigger", "smaller")Will this chek every array element or just the first or the sum? If I segment by the redirved property with total events, will it be applied once per event or per array element?
