Hi, I am using this function - ROLLWINBEFORE(UNIQUES, A, 2)I'd like it to count Uniques A if amount of A in particular period is in range.For example ROLLWINBEFORE(UNIQUES, A, 2) by month is Number of A per User is >2Is it possible?

Cohort of users with same IP but multiple User IDs

I want to create a cohort of users who performed a specific event using the same IP address but have multiple User IDs (user property). Could someone please help guide me in the correct direction?

Installing Session Replay when using GTM for Amplitude

Hi,what is the best way to install session replay feature when using GTM?Tried custom html option (it gives me error on const because feature is only supported for ECMASCRIPT 2015 onwards), changed const to VAR and it loads, but nothing is visible inside Amplitude (added initialization tag to load before this html). What did I miss to make this work?

Amplitude Hubspot Integration: List Created and Not Populated

I’m running into problems getting Amplitude Hubspot Integration to work.I’ve followed the instructions detailed in Send Cohorts to HubSpot and they seem to almost work.Amplitude setup step works Send a cohort works according to the Amplitude UIHowever, when i examine the Cohorts in HubSpot, I find that a contacts list is created with the correct name, i.e. with the Amplitude_ prefix, but the list is empty and remains empty despite Amplitude claiming it has synced users to the list.

Any Payload size limit in a variant ?

Questions is:Are there a limit for how large (line, characters, mb) a JSON Payload can be as a part of Feature flag.For a client im implementing Experiment/Feature Flags for IOS and Android. One of the Feature flag planned are to be used as a “All Users 100%” with a payload with info about shops etc. Example of this is an object of all shops, and info for each shop.Intention is to make only one “App Data” feature flag that will grow overtime.For now it’s only 74 lines, and est 1200 characters. But it’s intended to grow over time.

How to tell if a response has multiple pages

Showing companies and not users on dashboard

Hello Guys! Here is the deal: We work with an B2B product, so most of our metrics look to how many companies triggered certain event during a window of time. Most of amplitude is perfectly usable for us, because even with all tracking being made by user, we can always use the “Group By” feature and everything is good. But there is a problem. I want to see on my dashboard the actual number of companies that triggered that event. I can get a list of them easily, but when showed on a dashboard that data is not easily read. I’d need to download a CSV and count the cells. Let’s use the image below as an example. I created a segmentation graph with event i needed, grouped all users by company and then added that to a dashboard. For good measure, i turned it into a table, for ease of reading. Now i can see who triggered the event, but not how many companies, and that’s even worse on this case where there are 165 companies that triggered the event. I also tried to use user composition, so that

How to install Amplitude in Remix Js app ? SSR

Hello,I'm currently trying to install Amplitude in my Remix.js app and am not able to do so. I don't know whether to use the Node SDK and/or the Browser SDK.The Node SDK is working, but since it's SSR (Server-Side Rendering), I can't track events in onClick() functions, for example. When I try to use the Browser SDK to track these kinds of events, I'm not able to do so because Remix is an SSR framework.Have you run into the same issue?

Multiple user id for same user

Hey! I realised every time my user update their app, a new user ID is created when then this user opens my app in this new version. That gives me one device ID, but multiple users ID…. This is really affecting my retention chart. Would love some help. Thanks!

Should the same user on two different devices count as 2 MTUs?

In Users & Sessions > User Look-up > Search Users, if I use advanced search to find a user by email, I find 2 or more (up to 16) Amplitude IDs mapped to the same email. It’s one person, and I assume this is due to use on separate devices (although 16 does seem odd, it’s just one person). I assume Amplitude is counting Amplitude IDs not unique emails, for MTUs. The result is almost 40% over-counting -- this is on a portal where everyone is logged in, so everyone has an email address.Does this sound right? Is this a flaw in our implementation of Amplitude? Is there a way to still use Amplitude IDs but de-dupe tracked users so there is only one Amplitude ID per email? Or is that something I shouldn’t want for some reason?

How to create a Segmentation chart that captures users who have performed the same event multiple times?

Hi there,We’re having trouble building the chart we want in Amplitude analytics. Is there a way to chart the count of users who have performed an event more than once over time? This boils down to a normal segmentation chart except instead of counting the user if they’ve performed the event, they would have had to perform the event >1 time within the given time period. Thanks,Will

Passing UTM parameters cross-domain

We are trying to set up tracking between our standard marketing website and our product which lives in a web app. Because these live on two different domains we are trying to figure out how to pass back the UTM parameters from the landing page on our marketing site into the User data when they sign up on our web app.We were thinking of passing back the device_id from the marketing site (example.com) to the web app (app.example.com). Is it possible to associate UTM parameters to that device_id so that when they fill out the form on the web app we can keep the parameters on the user’s data?

Why is data on website different from HTTP V2 API result?

We are a startup… still on free tier. Hoping to move up soon :).I’m new to Amplitude so hoping this is not a silly question:On the https://app.amplitude.com/, I can create a new segmentation chart and just one event “EVENT-A” and apply one filter (User ID = ABD).  I then view both “event totals” and “Uniques”.  For Event totals, I get number such as 151, 43, 200 for the past 3 days.When using HTTP V2, and querying with the same event with the same filter, I get values such as 5768.  Why are these so different?   I made sure to use the “m” : “totals”.   Below is my curl.  I’m hoping there is something obvious I missed?   Looking at other similar posts:  I only have one project so the API key I’m using is by definition the only project I have access to. curl -X GET 'https://amplitude.com/api/2/events/segmentation' -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d 'e={"event_type": "EVENT-A"}' -d 'f=[[{"prop": "user_id", "op": "is", "values": ["ABCD"]}]]' -d 'start=20240126' -d 'end=20240130' -d 'm=

iOS session duration is incorrectly high since iOS SDK 8.17.2 (or some other version newer than 8.10.0)

Hi All Since about autumn 2023 session length of some sessions started growing much to amounts clearly not in how our app is likely to be used (we are a job search app, not a game to have long sessions). We traced it down to the following:1. It is exactly iOS specific2. It seems to be happening exactly for the versions that have upgraded Amplitude SDK from 8.10.0 to 8.17.2 (i.e. for older versions of our app using older Amplitude SDKs we do not see such issues, at least not en masse)3. We digged and found many example of sessions that seem to be tracked not per Amplitude session tracking rules (that is session should end 5 min after no events happen). ExampleFor example in this session 1707114933154 you can see almost 1 hour long interval between events (a bit less than one hour, so it’s not likely to be some time zone error). We have similar examples for over 3 hours difference and so forth. What to do?As a quick fix, we are trying to roll back to Amplitude SDK 8.10.0, but what should

Remove real-time event stream from home page

My home page and the customizable organization home page has real-time widgets for an event stream and a map of the world. Neither of these widgets provide any value to me, but I do not understand how to remove them. Other widgets have a 3-dot menu that allows for removal. How do I remove these pieces of information?

Using Group Identify with Ampli when web application is created but group properties changing in events with different data

Hi. I’m having an issue with the amplitude events showing different group_properties than originally set using groupIdentify. groupIdentify gets called once in the app to set the group properties for the events which should set it for future events. I noticed in the User Look-Up page in Amplitude Analytics, some of my events show the group_properties incorrectly while in the same amplitude session. Create dynamic cohorts using Behavioral cohorts API

There’s a requirement for creating dynamic cohorts in my Amplitude project with the help of existing Rest API. I am able to create a static cohort but it needs to be dynamic. The documentation doesn’t provide information about creating one. Is it possible to create one? If its possible, can someone point me in the right direction in regards to creating a dynamic cohort?

I want a list of every Amplitude ID + the email address associated with that user

What it says in the title: I want to get a list of every Amplitude User ID I’ve recorded, along with the email address (if any) associated with that user. I have a bar chart of session starts, grouped by ID, and that seems to do the “summarizing” part, but I don’t see how to add email (or anything) to the table of results to export.

Event deletion without losing dashboards

We are struggling to figure out how we can meet our contractual obligations to our clients in deleting event data from Amplitude once the client offboards, and it appears so far that the only option is to delete the entire project and reload the scrubbed event data afterwards.  We are looking for another solution and not finding it. In this link to an Amplitude community post, there is a line that says For customers on the paid plans, you can explore our Data Sanitization Service (paid offering), which scrubs/removes selected data (e.g. PII) in Amplitude. Wondering what that Data Sanitization Service is, as there appears to be no further information on the Amplitude site about it.  Related question:  is there a data retention policy that can be set, where event data older than a certain date would be removed?
