Unable to send event to Intercom

I’ve successfully connected with Intercom in the “Test Connection” However, when trying to complete the setup, it keeps showing “Failed to update sync. Please try again or contact support.” I confirm that these two events I selected are triggered with User ID and the User ID in Amplitude is identical to Intercom’s  Please help me resolve this issue, thanks!

Prevent Sending Ampli events to the Amplitude dashboard directly as we use segment

Hi There We are experiencing this maybe unique or not unique situation, where we do not want to directly send the event to Amplitude directly as we’ve got segment collecting the event and sending it back to Amplitude, which is the preferred flow. At the moment when the user fires an event it is collected twice. Is there any solution for this. We are using the new browser SDK2.Kind Regards Vallis

Average count of events per user including users that never triggered the event?

In my app, I have an “ad_click” event. When I try to plot average events per user I see that I have 2 events/user on average:  But I know that only minority of users trigger this event, most users don’t click on ads. Here is percentage of active users that triggered it: So this means that, if we count in users that never triggered the event, the number of events per user will be much less than 2 and even less than 1, probably around 0.1-0.2.How do I make this chart?

'matches' on 'Element' Error in Amplitude Session Replay Plugin v1.4.0 Causing High Error Volume

I'm encountering numerous errors in the Amplitude Session Replay plugin:Failed to execute 'matches' on 'Element': The provided selector is empty. These errors originate from libs/plugin-session-replay-browser-1.4.0-min.js.Despite this, session replays function correctly, but the volume of these errors is concerning.Has anyone else experienced similar errors with the Session Replay plugin? Are there known causes or solutions for the 'matches' on 'Element' error related to empty selectors?Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Setting Group Properties in GTM

Hi everyoneI use GTM as the tool to setup the init and identification tagsI’ve successfully identified the group “Corp ID” but unable to track group properties even if I set through this tag:I asked the AI bot in the help center and it said “Currently, the Amplitude GTM (Google Tag Manager) template does not support the group identify call which is used to set group properties. ”But in the GTM’s doc it clearly includes the “Set” callI noticed that in the Set Group Properties tag, the label for setting is “User” property. Does this mean it actually not support setting up a “Group” property?I hope someone can tell me how do I set up and see the group properties:

(none) event has similar amount as the total while there are still breakdown of other UTM sources

Hi Amplitude Community, I noticed in my UTM source breakdown that the total number of users (4,336) matches exactly with the '(none)' category, even though I have other utm_source values like TikTok (214 users), Instagram (189 users), etc. Shouldn't '(none)' only represent direct traffic? Why would it match the total instead of being a subset? Is this a tracking configuration issue or expected behaviour? Would greatly appreciate help, thank you!

Custom Page View event + UTMs

Hi there!I'm implementing Amplitude through GTM. I've disabled the autocapture of pageviews from the init tag as I would like to have control over exactly which parameters I’m sending to Amplitude. However, in the init tag, I see a checkbox for 'Track marketing attribution'.1/ If I create a pageview as a custom event and leave 'Track marketing attribution' checked, is there anything that should be included in the custom pageview event regarding UTMs or similar parameters?2/ What is the consequence of unchecking 'Track marketing attribution'? I assume it means it won't track any UTMs or assign the source of traffic based on URL parameters like fbclid, etc. If I want to set this up manually, how should it be done?Thank you!

What is the best practices for tracking web pageviews?

By default with the browser SDK, we can get it to track a “Pageview” event which has properties like page_url, page_domain and page_path.I can then query that to our heart’s content but it’s a bit of a pain each time to specify the domain to differentiate between our marketing site and web app (for example).Also, in the event stream seeing “Pageview” just repeated isn’t helpful since it forces us to click on each one to see the page domain and path to even understand the order of their navigation: Even worse, in Amplitude’s “Pathfinder”, a generic Pageview event then looks like this which is not very unhelpful: I’ve seen this older (2014) blog post making a case for not needing a pageview type event, but I think this is naive because an event of viewing a page is just as important in how we attach analysis of user flows as it is to look at an event causing someone to get to that page. It also forgets that some visitors may do a pageview coming from a link from a 3rd party source.  Last

Issues with Amplite API

Hello! I’m new to working with such complex APIs in the marketing topic I am far from, but I’m trying to automate things for my company.What I need:I need to retrieve data of unique completed purchases by users in percentage (which is generally quantity of users that have successfully finished a purchase divided by quantity of unique users that have started the purchase). I know the period of time. I know the name of events. I understand which funnel I am working with. I have api key and secret key.What I do not understand and struggle with:What API should I use? AI Amplitude Assistant recommended me to use Dashboard REST API, especially Funnel analysis, but there are no details in documentation where to get funnel_id. And examples are not as complex as real-life ones (its a general issue for documentation as for me, because not all developers are of senior level). Also I tried to generate requests based only on specifying events and I get data that is very close to which I see on the

Completely hiding historical data of specific user property in Amplitude

What is the process to fully conceal the past data of a particular user attribute in Amplitude, and could you provide an explanation of the problem related to this inquiry? But please underline that I don’t want the events that contain that user property to be deleted. I just want to hide the user property

revenue tracking VS Order payment completed EVENT

We will develop with the corresponding properties of “the order payment completion” event. Since “the order payment 5 properties" and the “5 properties of revenue tracking” are the same,should “revenue tracking” be developed redundantly to construct an ‘arppu’ chart?Can I replace the “revenue tracking property” through “the event property of the order payment completion event”?

Measuring stickiness without getting limited on the calendar month - instead based on the rolling days after sign-up

Hi,I want to use stickiness analysis to improve our onboarding flow and to test ideas.For that reason, we want to check stickiness trying to answer the following question: “how many times of users visit the platform within the 14 days after their sign-up date, who signed up in September”. It is easy to filter who signed up on specific month, i.e, September in this example, through adding event condition.Yet, the results are coming based on the specific month’s performance, which causes problems. For instance;If users who join on the last day of the September, users have only have that single day to engage with the platform within that month. Therefore, their stickiness for that month would be limited to one day, as they wouldn't have any opportunity to return on additional days within the same calendar month.This limitation is inherent in using a monthly stickiness chart. Grouping step 2 in funnel but not step one

Hi all, I need a funnel chart where I need to group the second step in the funnel but not the first step.For example, imagine Event1 is a screen_view of a particular screen and Event2 is a button_tap. Imagine there are 3 different buttons a user can tap. I need to see the conversion of:screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonA) 60% screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonB) 10% screen_view (total) → button_tap (buttonC) 30%When I try to group by button name, I end up with all conversion rates being 100% because it is also splits the screen_view by button name. I have used a formula instead of a conversion as a work-around (%:UNIQUES(A)/UNIQUES(B)) but this loses the order of events and can change the resulting value.Is there a way to view this as a conversion? basically converting from one starting point to 3 possible end points? Thanks in advance!**edit, to be clear the button names are an event property, not a user property

Deducting values from event properties

Hi everyone, I have an event which has a number of properties with different numbers (values).Is there a way to deduct the number within the property?For example an event called X with property Y equal to 10 and property Z equal to 5. Can I create a formula which does X property Y - X property Z, or essentially 10-5?Thanks,Etai
