When I make a retention chart to look at our Day 1-7 retention, I want the cohorts in the table beneath the chart to be Weeks, not Days.
Seeing how Day 1 retention varies day-to-day is not useful for our consumer metrics because there are natural fluctuations throughout the week (Fridays and Saturdays always perform worse for example). What I do need to know is how Day 1 retention is changing week-over-week.
…but, any time you go to make a retention chart with Daily buckets for the chart, the Segment group by in the table below is forced into a Daily view as well.
