I been using amplitude for a while for my Client Portal.

I used to set user Ids as the ID I had in the DB. We also have UUID in the DB and want to use that for user id.

How do I update all the existing User Ids with their UUIDs?

Hi @Tushar Singh

If you create/update a new user ID for an existing user, Amplitude will recognize them as different unique users.

Here’s more - https://community.amplitude.com/data%2Dplanning%2Dand%2Dgovernance%2D73/will%2Dsubsequent%2Dcalls%2Doverride%2Dthe%2Dproperty%2Dif%2Dyou%2Dset%2Da%2Dnew%2Duser%2Did%2D2008

The alternate approach will be to reimport your event data with your new UUIDs into a new project.
