Mismatch between cumulative data and uniques data

Hi there,Setting up the chart for signup (so every user can just trigger event once). In cumulative view, there’s no signups on Jun 3. But I can see 5 unique signups on the unique view. Does anyone know why there’s a mismatch?

Funnel analysis visitors not equal to total visitors

I am using a Funnel conversion chart to look at unique visitors over a 4 week time period and what the drop off is at each stage (marked by a different page view). However, I get two odd things happening: When I download the data I can see it on a daily basis and aggregated up into a “total” row. Why does the “total” row not equal the sum of the daily rows? When I separately pull “number of unique visitors to homepage” (the first stage in the user journey) in a different chart (a table) for the same time period, I get a different number again - not equal to either the total row or the sum of the daily rows. As a result, I’m confused as to how many visitors my site really has and which of these numbers to trust.  Thank you so much in advance!

Custom events are not shared between environments?

I’m using environments (Production, Development, etc.) for a project.All events created on one appear on the other, except custom events.Custom events as specified on https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047138392#create-a-custom-event-from-existing-eventshttps://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041885332-Group-two-or-more-events-together-as-a-single-step-in-the-Events-module Seem attached to just one environment, despite the underlying events existing on both. Is there any way to share them or promote them between envs?Having to recreate them on each environment would make them quite difficult to use effectively.

ampli pull should generate typescript file with "// @ts-nocheck"

I used ampli to generate typescript file. But generated file does not pass our typescript checker.(Error will vary based on tsconfig.json)I would be nice generated typescript file contains “// @ts-nocheck” to skip typescript check

Has anyone found the TTL settings?

I was able to get TTL enabled for my account:https://www.docs.developers.amplitude.com/data/ttl-configuration/but I cannot find it in the settings. does anyone know where that is?

How can we get the Amplitude ID on the front end?

Here is the situation:We want to pass back a unique user identifier on our sales form submissions to improve matching with Salesforce data (currently match on email, but emails get changed) Previously used the user_id provided by the analytics platform which could be pulled from a first party cookie Now we want to use the Amplitude ID, but have no way to surface on the browser when the form is being submitted Is this possible to achieve?  We tried combining session_id (amplitude.getSessionId()) and device_id (amplitude.getDeviceId()), but the values are not unique. Is there anything in the AMP_******* first party cookie we could use? Using the GTM Amplitude template on our webpage if it helps Thank you!

Amplitude chrome extension to work

Hi, We use Segment to pass data to Amplitude and I noticed that the plug-in stopped working on my website. We switched from device mode to cloud mode, and I was wondering if it could be related. If so, is there any way I can debug my events? I use quite often the plugin, so it is a bit annoying it stopped working.  Thanks :D

Acquisition channels set up and guidance

We are looking to set up some marketing tracking and have added the UTM parameters for campaigns config etc. I am only looking at channels now and Amplitude reckons it can pick up historical data. If I wish to see organic search traffic to our website for example is there any reason why this set up isn't working? At the minute I am only seeing ‘Direct’. When I delete ‘Direct’ I only see ‘none’ Thanks in advance. Basically is there any config our front end devs need to do other than the tracking implementation for UTM medium/source?

Refuse to connect to 'https://api2.amplitude.com/2/httpapi' because it violates the following Content Security Policy

We recently use Amplitude for tracking the event when users verify their emails. So we add the tracking event method inside the Email Template from Auth0. Those are HTML code and I use fetch to handle the event tracking and it works normally when I run it locally. But when the email is sent to Outlook or Gmail account, I got the error as the image below. I wonder if you can do some configurations on your end about it or what should I do? Thanks so much in advance for your help.I will reply as soon as possible.

How to use trackingOptions with Flutter?

I need to disable tracking the user PII such as the IP address, but the Flutter SDK does not seem to be exposing the trackingOptions object.Is there another way to disable tracking those properties? If it helps, we need to disable the tracking for the entire project, not per user.Thanks.

Why does absolute number of conversion decreases when you hold property constant?

Hello! I am trying to run an analysis where I have 2 events, check out clicked and checkout completed. Both events can be completed multiple times with different products. Eg. Checkout clicked [Product A], Checkout clicked [Product B] , checkout completed [Product B]I am trying to find out the ratio between check out clicked and checkout completed for different products. So I am holding “product name” property constant. By looking at user property pairs, it makes sense to have the first event’s total numbers increasing, as it starts to count events beyond earliest occurrence. However, why will my conversion event numbers decrease? The total number of checkout completed should be still the same?

Segmentation failure by initial_utm for merged users

We merge user sessions after successful registration. However, our analytics report shows incorrect segmentation by the initial UTM.  (“Signed up” user event has no initial_utm, but after merging sessions, the user has initial UTM)For example, user 10041 is in NONE group for Signed up event, even he has initial_utm_source set up.How can this be fixed?

Google Tag Manager as a data source

I was able to add Google Tag Manager as a data source. I have added one PageView tag. Do I need to add custom tags for every event we want to track? Also, will this connector get us the web data similar to how we see in GA? I’d appreciate your help!

In the new browser sdk can we set the user properties by passing object ?

In the new Browser SDK to set multiple user properties we need to call .set() method multiple times … is it possible that we directly pass the user properties object.

Some events are missing from tracking ()

Hi,We are facing some issues for certain events to show up in Analytics or Data. Almost all events go through just fine, however, certain events do not show up anywhere. I have debugged the SDK (we are using https://github.com/zumba/amplitude-php) and call to https://api.amplitude.com/httpapi is returning 200 and response body success.No error requests in Ingestion Debugger at all  No Drop/Block filters are configured  All Schema Settings are set to “Mark as unexpected”Are there any other places events can be filtered/blocked?

Data missing from api response (event list)

I am encountering an issue with the Amplitude API where I have noticed that some events contain segmentation data that is not present in the event list. Specifically, when querying the event list with the following Axios query:{ url: "events/list", } the event with the ID '56773164' is not included in the result. However, when querying the segmentation data with the following Axios query:{ url: "events/segmentation", params: { e: { event_type: "_all", group_by: [ { type: "user", value: "event_type", }, ], }, start: "20230320T00", end: "20230320T00", m: "uniques", limit: 1000, }, } the ID of the event can be found under seriesLabels in the response. What could be the cause of this discrepancy?

When is the event ID being triggered?

Hi team! I checked that the event ID is triggered sequentially when users execute 1 event to another event. The defintion that you posted here is that Event ID. A counter distinguishing events. Event IDs are associated with the device ID. https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/204620508-Helpful-definitions#:~:text=Event%20ID,associated%20with%20the%20device%20IDBut somehow, I checked that even in 1 exact device ID, it could have the same event ID which equals to 1 (event ID = 1). What other things that can lead to this condition? Is it because of different session id? different device type? What variables that affect changes of event ID?

Duplicated events in BigQuery

Hi,I have set up recurring syncs of your Amplitude event data to BigQuery through the Amplitude UI. It all works really well except that i found a lot of duplicated events (identical event_id with identical amplitude_id). Here is an example of a user with an event with id 623, but there are two rows (!):amplitude_id event_id event_time device_brand device_manufacturer device_model is_attribution_event processed_time user_creation_time 83043144830 623 2023-04-20 02:54:16.468000 UTC samsung samsung SM-G935F FALSE   2019-02-12 22:50:15.990000 UTC 83043144830 623 2023-04-20 02:54:16.468000 UTC         2023-05-02 21:26:50.277000 UTC   The two rows are identical, except for: device_brand, device_manufacturer, device_model, is_attribution_event, processed_time and user_creation_time, are identical.It is of course trivial to remove such duplicate rows but I want to understand why we have and still are getting this duplication (and why these fi

Issue: Hightouch sync into Amplitued

Issue with piping data from Snowflake to Amplitude pipeline via HightouchBackgroundWe pipe events from Snowflake into Amplitude via a Hightouch sync.Sometimes the syncs work perfectly. Meaning Hightouch queries Snowflake and returns the exactly correct number of new events. Amplitude successfully receives the events.Sometimes the syncs work imperfectly but are close. Meaning Hightouch queries Snowflake and returns the exactly correct number of new events. Amplitude almost receives all the events but is short a few in almost every daily sync.Sometimes the syncs completely fail.
