Hello Community! First topic here 😊

I am Nico, Product Manager in a startup from Argentina

Context: We have a step-by-step modal to set up a new product in our platform. The events that track the actions in this setup are being sent all together at the end, when the user finish the set up.

Question: Do I need to send the event of each step separately to track drop-off in a Funnel analysis? Or it’s ok to send it all together?

I’m a bit in a lockdown with this situation 🤣 any suggestion will be appreciated!

Thanks a lot

Hi Nico - welcome!

I strongly recommend you do as you suggest and send each event separately as they happen! If you only send them at the end, you will probably only send them for users who reach the end, and then by definition there will lose the data for all the users who dropped off.

Hope that makes sense and keep asking questions! :)
