Events with Invalid Event Properties from other Events

Hello! I had several Events marked Invalid in Data. If look into them, I see that there’re Invalid Event Properties that are not in tracking plan, but the issue is that these Event Properties don’t relate to the Event.

Should I fist click “Add” and then remove such Event Properties from Event to fix it? As for example with “area” Event Property here:

Hi @Stas_P ,

Thanks for writing into the community!

This will happen if you have an event planned in your tracking plan with tracked/planned event properties and then the event is ingested with an event property that was not expected or planned for that event. I would look into your instrumentation and ensure that these properties are not being sent with the event as they appear to be sent in with it at this moment. I would not add these properties to the event if they are not a part of it. Just ensure that event does not send those properties anymore.

While it is a long read, I do recommend reading through all of our data articles here

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Denis
