Does OrgID correspond to ProjectID?

Hi all,

currently, Amplitude provides an option to export 2 types of different data to S3 buckets:

  1. Raw event file and data format. Example filename: ProjectID_yyyy-MM-dd_H#partitionInteger.json.gz
  2. Merged Amplitude IDs File & Data Format. Example filename: -OrgID_yyyy-MM-dd_H.json.gz

See more info here: https://www.docs.developers.amplitude.com/data/destinations/amazon-s3/

I would like to ask if the OrgID from the 2nd report corresponds to the ProjectID from the 1st report.

TIA

Hey @dorota.nowicz

Org ID and Project ID are two different things here.

Org ID is the unique identifier of your org account and can be located under Settings → General : Org ID ( right below your Organization name )

Hope this helps.

Hi @Saish Redkar,
thanks for taking your time to answer my question. I am conscious about differences between Org ID and Project ID. In my question I’d like to make sure that both reports exported from Amplitude to S3 use Project ID in the filenames and the Org ID is just an error in the documentation.
