Longitude and Latitude doesn't tracked by default

Hello amplitude community 🖐🏻

I am using this package "@amplitude/analytics-browser": "^1.5.3" in my project but when send an event and go to check the user-properties I find that Longitude and Latitude doesn't tracked by default

my question is is it tracked by default or need to be enabled ?

Hi @Tahtawy ,

I understand you are using the Typescript SDK, correct? Can you update to the lastest 1.5.4? By default, these should be provided. Are you using any sort of VPN or Adblocker perhaps? Have you changed any of the configurations upon setting it up?

Can you upgrade to the latest and see if the issue persists?

Kind Regards,
Denis

Can you PM me your Project ID and Org ID too please? Or a link to that user profile will do too!

Hi Denis,

I am using the react SDK but still same is happening with me. No Longitude and Latitude are being captured by itself.

I am using Amplitude from past 1.5 years and still this persist.

@sanchit good question, I’m looking into whether lat and long are tracked via the React SDK or whether it’s blocked due to privacy concerns.
