I seem to have trouble setting the User ID with GTM template. I have the tag set-up like this. All works well, but in Amplitude it creates a custom property on user level, instead of merging them. I also tried userId as User Property, but that did not work either. What is the right key here? With the “init” tag it works fine, but that is not good for me when users are not already logged in (the initiate event is earlier than the sign-up).

I think I fixed it, using the SetUserId tag type, instead of identify.

Do you set value {{User Id}} in the User ID field?
Is this equivalent to the User Properties in GA4 Google Tag ?
How about the Configuration Settings? Do i set up in identify tag? seems not right?
