Are event tags particularly useful in Amplitude, beyond just the Data Governance of events?
For example, Categories are useful because they’re used to group events which makes creating charts easier. But as far as I know, tags don’t have the same benefit.
I couldn’t find any useful reading material on this topic so hopefully others may find this useful too.
Thanks
Raul

Hi @raulspil_mc. I asked a similar question to Amplitude support some months ago, receiving a reply that tags aren’t searchable, or surfaced in Segmentations, Funnels, etc. Basically they don’t do anything of particular use…which is a pity, as they could be very handy, especially in implementations with many events/ properties that are used by large and diverse groups of end users.
