So the question is, what are 3 things I’d like to do here to make this a more useful data visualization chart to my end-users?

  1. Edit page url alias
  2. Re-size the font copy
  3. have absolute counts and %age of total both available, not either/or

Hi @Herb Lau, some answers from my own experience using Segmentations.

  1. AFAIK it’s not currently possible for the horizontal bar chart type in Segmentations, though it is in, for example, line charts (where you can edit the displayed values directly in the legend of the chart). One solution you could use here is to create a derived property which takes in your page url values and converts them to whatever aliases you want, then used the derived property in your Segmentation charts (https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/5874857623707-Derived-properties)
  2. AFAIK not currently possible
  3. Again not possible AFAIK; even if you duplicate your event to create a second copy of the horizontal bar chart, the absolute VS relative setting applies to all charts, not just the chart you make the selection on.

There are quite a few things like this which aren’t particularly wonderful in terms of visualising data in Amplitude, though I do remind myself it’s not Tableau/ Looker/ similar. That being said, Id be very surprised if Amplitude’s product team aren’t aware of these and planning improvements. You can always submit such improvement ideas here: https://community.amplitude.com/ideas.

Dan.
