Clean up the Breakdown Table underneath retention chartsNew

The Breakdown Table underneath retention charts is hard to glance at and quickly take in. Each cell has the % and the number of users – 28% (28874 users). The number of users part adds so much clutter to the page that it makes it really hard to analyze and compare the numbers on the screen. I would love if it would show just the % and then only show the number of users upon hovering or activating some toggle

Ability for daily retention charts to have weekly cohort groupingNew

When I make a retention chart to look at our Day 1-7 retention, I want the cohorts in the table beneath the chart to be Weeks, not Days. Seeing how Day 1 retention varies day-to-day is not useful for our consumer metrics because there are natural fluctuations throughout the week (Fridays and Saturdays always perform worse for example). What I do need to know is how Day 1 retention is changing week-over-week. …but, any time you go to make a retention chart with Daily buckets for the chart, the Segment group by in the table below is forced into a Daily view as well.

Ability to adjust y-axis width on horizontal bar chartNew

I would like to increase the width of the y-axis on a horizontal bar chart to display longer pieces of text. Or at the very least, in a notebook, if I hover over that data point, show the text in a hover. Currently you can only see the first 14 characters

Automate refreshing data exported from Amplitude to a google sheetNew

I’m using the Google Sheets sync Chrome extension to send data from Amplitude into a Google sheet, but I wish it could auto-refresh. Currently, everyone who wants to use the sheet has to install the Chrome extension and hit the refresh button to get fresh data. Please add an auto-refresh feature to the chrome extension so I can set it to refresh itself daily. Automate the 'Refresh All' in Amplitude Link to Sheets Add-onNew

I am using the following add-on to export chart data directly to my linked google sheet. https://workspace.google.com/u/0/marketplace/app/amplitude_sync_to_drive_and_sheets/998012258772 The extension gives a interface that requires the user to ‘Refresh All’ charts data manually. Can someone help me with a way to automate the ‘Refresh All’ button such that is syncs data after a set period of time? Semantic Version support on Event/User PropertiesNew

This is supported by major platforms (Optimizely, PostHog, etc) and a must for us. We need to be able to target feature flags and experiments based on the client's semantic version. E.g.: ff-1 needs to be rolled out to clients greater than 2.102.3, but currently lexicographic comparison will return the feature flag as on for 2.2.0 for example.

Add an easy, lightweight "Edit Dashboard/Notebook" ViewNew

When editing a Dashboard or Notebook with many charts, it’s hard to move things around because charts take time to load and things take time to update, even a click takes a few seconds. I’d like to have an “Edit Dashboard” or “Organize Dashboard” that removed data from the charts (kinda like a wireframe of my dashboard) where I could move things around, add charts, etc. faster and then save to have the charts info updated

Define cohorts using existing cohorts (i.e. nesting cohorts)New

I want to make a cohort that is based on, and dynamically updates with, an existing cohort. For example. I have a defined Test Users as those who meet some criteria, but have also had to add a number of test users as one offs. I’d like to make a derived cohort called Test Users - Activated that simply adds another criteria on top of that cohort in a way that stays in sync if I have to manually add another user to the original Test Users cohort. If I’m approaching this totally wrong, someone please let me know a better way to manage this!

Event divided by event issue when 0 divided by 0New

Hi I have some graphs which track the number of occurrences of A out of the total number of occurrences. The formula and graphs work great except for one issue. if in a particular week/month there are zero occurrences, the formula has to calculate 0 divided by 0. It seems to assign this to the value of zero. However, this can be unhelpful as I then have to dig into it to see if it is 0 because there were no occurrences or if there were occurrences but none were A. I’ve exported the data and drawn a similar graph on Google Sheets. In these cases, GS simply does not plot a point when the total number of occurrences is zero. It would be good if Amplitude did the same. Thank you

AI Generated Chart DescriptionsNew

The problem: Writing descriptions is helpful for chart consumers, but time-consuming for chart creators - especially when the chart has nuance around segments, groups, per day, per week, etc. Leverage AI to create descriptions for charts - saves time on creating descriptions, provides guidance for chart nuance & interpretation. Can easily be edited by users to adjust their description to their liking. Their edits can also be used to train ai event descriptions and improve chart descriptions as it goes.

Be able to look at returning user behaviourNew

It would be useful to be able to isolate and analyse the behaviour of returning users as opposed to new users, for example to be able to see: how well we’re engaging existing users by showing the number of active users in a given time period that created their account in a previous time period, and being able to track this over time as a rolling cohort understand what activity is encourage existing users back to the product, e.g. if we held an event or ran a campaign would we see a spike in returning users specifically as a result how does the behaviour or returning users differ from that of new users, e.g. do users spend more or less time in the product on a day that’s not their first day? Do they use different features? This is all possible with Mixpanel as you can create a cohort that did x event before today and set this on a rolling basis.

Ability to exclude noisy events from persona clustering or to cluster based on only select eventsNew

The persona chart seems like it could be very powerful if we had the ability to filter out noisy events (Experiment exposures and assignments for example). Or, if we could create clusters based only on select events or select categories of events, that would also be extremely helpful. We currently have to do all of our clustering outside of Amplitude because we can’t do either of these.

Hold property uniqueNew

In funnels you can hold a property constant to ensure that each event stage of the funnel has the same value of a given property. I would like to inverse that, so that the value of a property must be unique. For instance, I want to see how many unique content items a user opens or completes in a given timeframe. Dev team has explained it’s difficult to fire these events only for the first instance. And the Historical count in Amplitude does not help this use case, because I don’t want to specify what the values of the property are, I just want each value to be different than those associated with the previous events in the funnel.

Lookup Table properties maintained when new CSV with same column headers updatedNew

Loving the Lookup Feature: Certain company properties may be in another database and waiting for Devs to incorporate seems to be too difficult so wiring in company properties via Lookup is very useful Challenge: We may have new properties come up and so this requires a new column in the original CSV uploaded. But was told that if charts use properties from original CSV Lookup, when an updated CSV lookup is uploaded. It doesn’t recognise the same column names and the chart is broken requiring the property to be reselected. Proposal: When a new CSV is being UPDATED if the columns are the same as the previous one this will be ignored.

Allow users to specify a second y-axis on the right side of the line chartNew

I’d like to have metrics with different scales on the same chart. For example, I’d like to see the raw counts for subscriptions and also a conversion rate. I can do that with formulas just fine, but it’d be helpful if the percentage scale could be on the right while the raw counts were on the left.

Custom formatting in Data TablesNew

Allow adding custom formatting in Data Tables. For example, I have a formula for counting percentage of something. Currently, Data Tables can show only the number as it is, but it would be much more convenient to format the number with “%”. It could be another field under the “Formula” one called “Result formatting” and I could put a formatting string, e.g. “{result} %” which would print the result as “12 %”.

Configure custom quartersNew

Our company financial year runs from Feb 1st to Jan 31st. This means our quarters do not line up with the standard set in Amplitude. It would be great if I could edit the quarterly interval to run based on our financials.
