Can not interconnect user from web with user from mobile using the same event/user property, when creating a funnel

Hello, dear Community!

What I’m trying to do is:

1. I’m sending an event from web (when user opens download link) with property “web_pairing_user_id”, while setting user property “web_pairing_user_id” with the same value
2. When user installs the app and accepts this particular invite, I set the same “web_pairing_user_id” to user properties of a user plus sending it with the “invite accepted” event
3. Then I create a funnel with web and mobile events going one after another, picking “Holding property constant” (selecting “web_pairing_user_id” here, I’ve tried both event and user property)

As I understand, Amplitude should match users with the same value in this property and build a correct funnel, but this doesn’t work :(
I’ve checked both events that were sent today and they both have this event property with the same value. Maybe there is another way to somehow create such funnel?
