Dashboard Chart Notes

Was this feature removed, or does it require a certain level of access?

Hi @west.vegh, 

This feature to add notes is still available and has not been removed! You have to be the owner of the dashboard to add or edit notes under a chart.

Hi Loc, for some reason, I don’t see the option add a note on my chart. And I’m the owner of the dashboard. 

Thanks for following up @west.vegh! I believe we recently made some updates to notes. Does this roundup of December product updates help answer your question? 

The product updates section of our Community has the latest and greatest info. 

Hi @Jeremie Gluckman @Loc Tran, unfortunately no. The Add Notes button on charts within a dashboard is still not visible. Would be happy to send a screenshot over email if that would help.

Sorry about the trouble! If this is still an issue, I think we can turn this into a support ticket. That way I can take a closer look without sharing any Org-identifying information in the Community Post. 

If you make a copy of this demo dashboard, is there a button to “add note” if you hover over the test chart?

Thanks Loc, yes, when I make a copy of that dashboard, I see the “add note” button.

@Loc Tran Here’s what it looks like when hovering over my own dashboards. The three dots are on the opposite side and there’s no “add note” button. 

Hi @west.vegh, thanks for sending the screenshot. The Dashboard Notes feature is only available for scholarship or paid plans. I’m sorry for any confusion!

What you could try is copying the dashboard as a notebook and then use text boxes in the notebook to serve as comments. I hope this alternate solution will work for you!
