New updates make Amplitude easier to start, use, and scale
We know setting up and using digital analytics tools can be painful. All your team wants is to get started, and suddenly you’re faced with instrumentation time, engineering resources, configuration roadblocks – the list goes on.
That’s why we’re so excited to announce a number of updates that make Amplitude easy to start, easy to use, and easy to scale – all while giving new users 10x the value, right out the box. These updates are available to all customers and can be found across the Amplitude platform.
Note: These changes are rolling out to your plans over the next few weeks.
For some of our larger customers, we'll be reaching out to your admins with more information on how to turn these experiences on.

Track unique site interactions with visual labeling
This month we introduced visual labeling, a new tool that allows users to label specific types of clicks and interactions by navigating their site.
This feature leverages click and form interaction events to generate insights that retroactively look back at all collected data. Events created with visual labeling are called "Labeled Events" and can be used for analyses in the same ways as custom events.
The best part? Non-technical Amplitude users can create these events without having to manually instrument the event. Visual labeling is designed to reduce instrumentation barriers, so you can accelerate your insights without waiting for assistance from an engineer.

🔓 Access this feature via data console.
⭐️ Availability: Visual labeling is available to all customers.
Get started faster with our new homepage & UX redesign
We want new Amplitude users to hit the ground running from day one. This means offering website and product insights the moment you instrument with Amplitude – without any custom setup.
With our latest updates, users can now connect to their data using our 1-line of code, wordpress or shopify plugin. Once connected, you’ll instantly surface real-time data, including metrics on how customers are interacting with your website or product.
In addition, our redesigned homepage offers a new browsing experience, including a brand new navigation that surfaces important workflows (like out-of-the-box web and product analytics), as well as the ability to drill into anonymized user behaviors.
⭐️ Availability: The new homepage will be the default experience for all new customers.
Ask questions of your data with “Ask Amplitude”
Now teams can simply ask their questions in plain English. Ask Amplitude not only provides the answers, it helps users visualize these and makes recommendations about what they should ask about next. This takes the burden of understanding how to get started and how to drive the best possible outcomes off of the user.
And because Ask Amplitude leverages existing content and definitions to derive context – teams can get answers they need that are both accurate and relevant. Finally, Users can build on past questions by taking advantage of threaded responses as well as suggestions on next steps.
🔓 Access this feature via our new side navigation.
⭐️ Availability: Ask Amplitude is available across all plans but may include higher prompt limits for higher-tier plans.
Note: Ask Amplitude is gated where org access is controlled by admins only. This means that only admins will have access to opt their users into the feature. If your organization has signed any legal agreement with Amplitude to not surface AI features, this option will not be shown to you. Please reach out to your admin for more information.
Get pre-built insights with out-of-the-box Web and Product Analytics
For marketing teams moving over from Google Analytics, our web analytics hub gives you out-of-the-box web insights across channel, campaign, page, and conversion performance—and connects these insights to outcomes such as user sign-ups, purchases, and free trial conversions. Plus, you can get going with just one line of code using our new browser SDK. For teams not using our browser SDK, you can easily set up these insights in just a few clicks by selecting “Customize” on the top right of any page within Web Analytics.
For product teams, we’ve curated out-of-the-box insights for you that dive deeper into conversion, retention, and feature engagement – the most commonly requested use cases for product teams. These insights work out-of-the-box with any implementation, but you can customize their definitions by selecting “Customize” within Product Analytics.
No matter what your role, we’ve curated some of the best learnings available out-of-the-box, with basic instrumentation and setup. Use these pages to understand what next steps to take across a range of use cases so you can understand what’s working and quickly take action.
🔓 Access this feature via the new Homepage Navigation; see "product analytics" in the left nav.
⭐️ Availability: This feature is now available to all customers opted into the new navigation.
Visualize every customer touchpoint with our User Profile
Good news! Our redesigned user profile is now more intuitive than ever. Teams are now able to connect journeys with a comprehensive 360-degree view of each individual user.
With user profiles, you can centralize all your data sources and showcase how a user is performing across various platform capabilities, including Cohorts, Experiments, Syncs, and Session Replays. This update offers Amplitude users a more holistic understanding of their customers’ behaviors, preferences, and interactions across different touchpoints of the platform.
🔓 Access this feature via our new Homepage Navigation; see "Users" in the left navigation.
⭐️ Availability: User Profile is available to all users. Note: Access to different feature pages ( Session Replay, Experiments, Feature flags) are limited to customers that have purchased these products.
Sign up for automated alerts & subscriptions
You can now subscribe to charts and receive automated alerts around key metrics your users care about. Additionally, you can also create dashboard subscriptions on the content you care about most. These alerts and subscriptions can automatically be delivered to where users spend most of their day, i.e. slack and email
🔓 Access this feature in the alerts page. Note: saved charts can be subscribed to for automatic alerts.
⭐️ Availability: Plus customers now have access to limited alerts while Growth and Enterprise customers can access unlimited and custom alerts.

Safeguard your data with Data Access Controls
This month we introduced Data Access Controls, a flexible and customizable solution that adapts to your organization's unique needs. With our latest feature, users can now classify sensitive, PII, and revenue data to ensure only the right people have access to confidential data.
With Data Access Controls, you can be confident that your data is secure, your teams are empowered, and your organization is well-positioned for continued growth.

With Data mutability, you can trust that you’ll always deliver the most accurate and up-to-date insights to your team.

New Experiment releases
Drive faster action from crystal clear test results. Amplitude Experiment helps you test, analyze, and optimize your product experiences at scale.
Get more flexibility to run experiments without a primary metric
Teams may not always know how an experiment will impact their application or reporting metrics. With our latest Experiment release, you now have the flexibility to easily explore the impact of product changes without selecting a primary metric. This gives teams the ability to explore the impact of different variants when they want to test on outcomes that are not instrumented in Amplitude, like revenue. To use this feature, simply toggle off Amplitude recommendations within the goals section when you design your next experiment.
🔓 Use this feature by toggling recommendations on/off in the Goals section during experiment design.
⭐️ Availability: This feature is available to growth and enterprise customers
