New Analytics releases
Get clearer insights into what drives customer behavior. Amplitude Analytics gives you self-serve access to critical insights across the full customer journey.
Add Custom Prompts to Ask Amplitude
Last fall we launched Ask Amplitude, an AI powered chat interface that automatically serves up insights and recommendations for next steps. This month, we’re taking Ask Amplitude to the next level with custom prompts.
With this latest update, we’re excited to share that users can add custom instructions to Ask Amplitude that can customize the behavior for your own use cases, as well as business concepts specific to you.
🔓 Access via the top controls in Ask Amplitude.
⭐ ️ Availability: This feature is available to all plans. Note that "Ask Amplitude" is an admin-controlled feature. If your organization has a legal agreement with Amplitude restricting AI features, this option will not appear. Please reach out to your success manager for more information.
Enjoy Root Cause Analysis improvements
Whether you spot an unexpected spike in user engagement or a sudden drop in conversions, getting to the "why" is now as simple as checking your email.
No more tedious guesswork or wrestling with data. Now, users can get to the RCA with one click, allowing them to identify issues faster and make better product decisions. This streamlined experience means more time taking action on insights – a win-win for all.
🔓 Access: In order to use Root cause, you must first have an analysis in Amplitude that's displaying anomalous data. Click on the data point to bring up the Microscope. Then click Run Root Cause Analysis.
⭐ ️ Availability: This update is available to all customers with access to Root Cause Analysis in Amplitude Growth and Enterprise plans.
New KPI Visualization
Good news! Last month we refreshed the KPI visualizations for event segmentation and funnel charts! With this update, Amplitude now supports multiple segments and multiple metrics on the same dashboard card.
🔓 Access: In segmentation and funnel charts, switch the vis type to “KPI” from the top-right visualization dropdown. In dashboards, hover over the chart cards and click the … button on the bottom-right corner. See the updated options in the menu.
⭐ ️ Availability: This feature is available to users on all Amplitude plans.
Perform faster queries with Query Time Sampling
Tired of having to sample data at ingestion time? Query Time Sampling helps users get a more performant analysis experience at query-time, without sacrificing data comprehensiveness.
When Query Time Sampling is enabled, Amplitude’s query engine will select a representative subset of data for analysis (specifically, events based on a randomly-selected 10% sample of users). This feature will then up-sample the results, using advanced statistical methods like inverse sampling to extrapolate them to the entire population.
🔓 Access: From your selected chart analysis, click on the lightning bolt. The lightning bolt updates to show the percentage of the data set that the chart queries.
⭐ ️ Availability: This feature is available to users on all Amplitude plans.
New Session Replay releases
Reconstruct digital experiences to see how your customers unlock value. Use Session Replay combined with best-in-class analytics to make better decisions that drive growth.
Uncover insights faster with Session Replay Miniplayer
The future of Session Replay is here, and it’s all about efficiency, speed, and powerful insights!
With the Miniplayer, you can preview user sessions instantly with a single click. Think of it as your highlight reel for user behavior, allowing you to quickly scan through multiple sessions until you find the perfect replay.
When you spot something interesting, simply expand to our new mega-modal for a full-screen deep dive, complete with synchronized event streams, detailed user properties, and shareable insights. The best part? With mini-mode, all your filters stay intact for frictionless focus.
⭐ ️ Availability: This update is currently available to starter customers and will be rolling out to all users in the new few weeks.
