Hi,

I want to track how many active companies there are over time and found that setting up conditions for how many users perform the events is challenging in the custom cohort feature.

When analyzing an engagement metric of a B2B product, having multiple users/ teammates actively use the product is a critical part of defining metrics. Defining only by the count of events is not sufficient to me.

Do you have any suggestions for this analysis scenario? Or do I simply overlook some places to set up?

Hi there,

This is Yuanyuan from the Amplitude Support team - happy to assist!

I understand your goal is to be able to make sure the events are performed by multiple users. The cohort you have is a good start. You can add another condition using 'distinct value of property of User ID' if all of your users are identified users. Or you can use another property that can represent each unique user. This is the exmaple of using this feature in the demo: https://app.amplitude.com/audiences/demo/cohort/6hx6h8e3

I hope this is helpful!

@Yuanyuan Zhang hi thanks it helps!

Now a question follows up:

How do I create a segment for groups (or a cohort) who performed the custom event over 10 times on 3 separate days within the past 7 days?

The use case is to measure a weekly engagement metrics, which requires a certain level of frequency of using our product

Furthermore, let’s say a weekly active corp is identified, and I want to further track a monthly active corp growth trend, which is defined as “in the past 4 weeks, it was identified as weekly active at least 2 times.” How do I measure it?

Glad to hear that it helps! You are very welcome.

The closest we can get to your follow up question would be using the 'count in interval' feature, but the limitation is that you would need to set a longer time range for the intervals, instead of 8 days. By default, a week is MON-SUN and a month is a calender month. You can change the definition of week and quarter under protect settings though. “count in interval” cohorts are powered by the same backend logic as stickiness charts, which ignores the most recent incomplete interval and starts from the date you set.

Hope this helps!
