Hi, I am trying to filter users in a retention chart based on their earnings greater than a certain dollar amount over the past 1.5 years. However, I can only go till the last 365 days. It says in the Amplitude tutorial that I can filter based on the past 36 months if I used monthly data. I am using monthly chart but I don’t see an option to filter based on months. I tried using cohorts but I still cannot go past 365 days. How can I accomplish this?
Thank you for writing in! My name is Audrey, and I am your Technical Support Agent here to help you.
Would you mind sharing your retention chart so that I can take a look?

Hi Liuaud,
I used “Since” and found that I can go past 1.5 years. So no problem there. However, I am stuck trying to form a cohort who performed an event for the first time. Although I can accomplish this in the charts such as Retention or Segmentation, I cannot do the same while forming a cohort.
For example, I specify the users who performed an event and in my case “Subscription charged” and state a condition and when I try to filter only those who performed it for the first time, I cannot find the “historical count” filter.
I just figured out I can replace count with Historical count to filter the first time users. No worries. Thank you.
That's great to hear! I will go ahead and close out the ticket, but please feel free to open this up again if you have any followup questions on this topic. Thank you, and have a great day!
Best,
Audrey
