Due to sensitivity of our event data, we have to remove it when a customer offboards -- not just the person data but the events themselves.
Deleting event data is unsupported; we have to create a new project and backfill the sanitized data into it.
But that means all our dashboards/analysis for all our other customers is still in the old project, which we need to delete. How do we move the dashboards from the old project to the new, without having to re-create them?
Thanks!
Hi
If the event names in both your projects stay consistent, then you can try using the project name as a saved parameter on your dashboard.
You’ll be then able to replace your project name and save the new dashboard, provided everything else ( properties/events) on the old dashboard are available in the new project as well.
Hope this helps.
I cannot figure out how this works. Can I get some clarification?
We are about to delete all the events of a specific client.
I tagged the dashboards with the current project.
I created a new project, where we will upload the events.
How do I switch the projects? The “replace projects” only shows the current project -- the new project does not show up at all, nor is it found when searching.
If I delete my current project, the dashboards will be gone.
