Hello,

I was curious to know if there are any benefits of having two different browser SDK sources even if the API key is same in Amplitude ? Is is possible to differentiate both of the data streams even if the API key is same ?

Hi @srushti.wadekar

Are you trying to set up 2 different data sources of browser SDK type?

Ideally, if your primary source of events is a web app/ mobile app, then the most common approach is to create one source using the relevant SDKs for client side events. If you have backend events flowing in, then server side SDKs/HTTP APIs would be the second source.

Adding multiple sources of same type in case of browser SDKs will usually have the same API key as the project’s API key. So even if you name your 2 sources differently, they would still be treated as the same value in the default [Amplitude] Library field.
Is there any specific use case you are trying to tackle by using two different sources of the browser SDK type?
