Question

What is the reason for "none" being recorded in the event property?

Hello,

What is the reason for "none" being recorded in the event property? In our app, we have set it up so that all events are logged with predefined values, and if the value is unknown to the app, it is recorded as 'N/A'. However, in the actual Amplitude data, more than half of the values are recorded as "none."

I am curious about the cases where "none" is recorded.

Hello,

Thank you for your question!

In Amplitude, 'none' represents a null value, which occurs when an event property is not defined at the time of the event. However, to address the issue further, I would recommend you create a ticket directly with a support team. Please make sure to add a link to the chart within the ticket description as well, and we'd be happy to look into this.

Kind regards,
Amplitude Support

Hello Cjw,

Thank you for sharing the link! After reviewing a few examples, it looks like the segmented property is missing from the events, which is why the value is showing as 'none.' For more details and guidance, I’d recommend reaching out to the support team via the official request — we'll be happy to assist further!

Kind regards,
Amplitude Support
