Hi all,

We are building a web application which users normaly start using on their deskop device. At one point there is a mobile handover with a QR code so the user can easily add photos. Our application does not have a login so therefore we don’t set a user id and rely on the one generated by Amplitude. I was wondering what the best practice is to make sure we have the same Amplitude user id for both desktop and mobile in the same session. Would it make sense to get the Amplitude user id on desktop, pass it along in the QR code and then set it on mobile again?

Thanks for your help!
