How could I go about tracking the amount of clicks per page? I don’t want the funnel chart because I’m not looking to track conversion to one button but instead I want to calculate the number of clicks from all buttons on a page

Thanks

Do you use GTM to send data to Amplitude @Emily Coffman? If so, you can fire an Amplitude event tag with a trigger of all click events (https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/7679320?hl=en) in your page. You should also be able to do this in other tag managers….and if you’re not using a tag manager, you could ask you website engineers to pass the event tag for you instead.

One thing I’d certainly question here is the value of doing so…tracking every single click interaction on a website generally yields limited insight value for the cost of the event calls you inevitably create (there will be lots!). Unless this is a specific fringe case you need to do as a one-off, I’d suggest taking a step back and questioning whether you really need to track every button/ link click. You’ll likely find you don’t need to and can instead substantially refine your eventing to only things that align to business needs/ questions.
