We are running an A/B test with our internal tool and notice a large quantity is being categorized in Amplitude as no variant assigned vs. with the variant assignment. 

If I look at the user path under the variant assignment as no, it shows a variant is assigned but is not showing up under the actual variant. 

Do you know what would cause this? Or how could we fix it to count under the actual variant?

Could you provide a bit more information around how you’re assigning your variants? Do you assign variants by updating User Properties? If so, are the events that you're querying on events that occurred after the user property was updated?

Any additional information on the set will be helpful too!
