I’ve tried so hard to find a clear answer to this, but I keep finding paragraphs and paragraphs of “maybe.” If I use a very basic Amplitude setup - just the JavaScript code snippet on a website, tracking user signups, using an ID for users and nothing else, do I need a GDPR cookie banner?
We are a US company, with international users.

I’m assuming you’re in Europe, so the simply answer is “yes”. Loading up Amplitude on your site will create cookies in the user’s browser, you therefore need their explicit consent to do so.
