A few questions to better understand your situation:

1. Do you have multiple projects in your organization and only one of them has had the events deleted? Or is this the only project in your organization?
2. Are you able to still query on historical data in charts?
3. Do you see any records in the changelog in Govern regarding deletion of events?
4. Have you checked with your teammates to see if anyone might have deleted the events?
5. If you are a Manager or Admin, have you tried undeleting the events in Govern?
