browser SDK 2.0 is automatically updated?

I utilized GTM to install the Ampliutde SDK. I installed it with custom html, not using a template, will this automatically update the Browser SDK 2.0?

I ask because I don't see DET in my amplitude.

Hi @milleryoon - DET is turned off as standard in the latest version of the browser SDK, have you changed your custom HTML to turn it on? See below link for further info, the SDK was originally set to default to “true” for DET but this was changed to “false” after a request by some of us in the community!

 

@Esther Trapadoux I’ve just noticed that the Browser SDK 2.0 documentation (https://www.docs.developers.amplitude.com/data/sdks/browser-2/#tracking-default-events) seems to have reverted to state that DET is set to “true” by default. On the assumption it’s still “false” as we discussed at length in the other thread (above) it likely needs changing again!
