Hi, I would like to know whether there is any parameter other than user ID that can be used to identify a user uniquely in case the User ID changes.

Here’s an article which talks in detail about how Amplitude tracks unique users.
In a nutshell, User IDs cannot be merged. If you create a new user ID for an existing user, Amplitude will only recognize them as different unique users.
