These circle markers started showing up in segmentation and in dashboards. Are they here to stay? Possible to turn them off?

Even slack previews started adding circle markers:
It seems they come and go as they please. I saw them again yesterday, but today they are gone again.
Amplitude UI bugs ( or “surprise feature updates” ) have a knack for such behavior. I won’t be surprised.
