Does anyone have advice on how best to see if a new feature has caused previously inactive or low activity users to become more active in your platform? The lifecycle chart doesn’t quite do this as there isn’t a single point in time I’m looking at as someone could perform this event at any given time since release. I’ve only been able to successfully do this by looking at each individual user stream and getting a general sense of their activity but as this feature gains more adoption, I won’t be able to keep up with the scale.

Hi Melanie,

To analyze if a new feature has activated previously dormant or low-activity users, you might want to consider using the Impact Analysis chart. This chart can help you discover how first-time engagement with one feature affects the rate of another behavior.

For example, you can set up an Impact Analysis chart to see changes in the average number of times users perform a certain action after they first discover the new feature. This can help you determine if users who interacted with the new feature are taking certain actions more frequently, relative to the time before they first used the new feature.

You can learn more about setting up and interpreting an Impact Analysis chart in these articles:

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,

Jacenda
