Hi there,

We need to build charts and tables based on user properties without relying on event data. Specifically, we want to analyze user counts and segmentation using predefined attributes, even for users who haven't triggered any events.

Could you confirm if Amplitude supports this? If so, what would be the best approach?

Here are some specific examples of the data we need:

  • Total number of users in the app (including those who haven’t triggered any events).
  • Daily count of users with a specific subscription plan.
  • The number of users with an active subscription at the current moment.

Best,
Sofiko

Hi @Sofiko Papkhadze
Amplitude is primarily an event based analytics platform and the events act as a carrier of user attributes. So as long as the user attribute is ingested along with atleast one event, you should be able to do the counting analysis. Even if you update an user property in Amplitude, the change only gets reflected on the user’s next event based on how you are setting the properties.

Afaik, Amplitude doesn’t support just user property ingestion on its own. Unless, there is some workaround integrations out there.
