What does `Views` number in the items list actually count?

Hi, I couldn’t find the answer in the documentation myself so I am asking here. When we look on the items table, there is a Views column showing a number. What does it actually count? Does it count the number of times somebody opened an item? Is there any timeframe applied (e.g. last 30 days). Does it count the views from guest users that got a share link to the item?

Hi Maciej,

Thank you for your patience!

Our Engineering team has responded with the following:

> 1. Views are the number of times an individual url has been visited by an authenticated user (though we do ignore @amplitude.com email users)
> 2. There is no timeframe on the total views count
> 3. Because we only track authenticated users, guests and public link views are not tracked
>
> Note that Feature Flags (which are the items shown in the screenshot) and Experiments do not track views and will **always** be 0.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have further questions.

Best regards,
Audrey

Here’s the screenshot taken from Amplitude Docs. You can see the “Views” column in the table.
