Hello,

We’d like to pass date-type user properties but curious if we’d be able to properly filter on them in amplitude charts. They’ll be in the format YYYY-MM-DD.

Hi @Lance Fernando

Yes, that date format should work. You should be able to apply filters and operators on that date type value.

Hi Lance,

Saish is correct. Amplitude accepts date formats in ISO format, which includes the 'YYYY-MM-DD' format. This allows you to apply filters and operators on that date type value in your analysis.
For more complex operations, you might want to consider using the 'Number' type and store the date as a Unix timestamp. This will allow you to perform numerical operations on the date.

Also, if you're an enterprise customer or have purchased the Govern add-on, you can leverage the Derived Properties feature and use date time functions to format and create a derived property according to your use case.
For more information, you can refer to the following resources:

- Setting Date Values
- Derived Properties

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best Regards,

Jacenda
