Google Optimize results in Amplitude

Hi community

Do you know any way how we can show the results of A/B tests (as well as other tests) we run in Google Optimize in Amplitude?

We thought about inserting a JavaScript string into each variant and creating an event for each of these in GTM but it

  1. hasn’t been tried yet
  2. doesn’t seem like an optimal solution

Do you have any better suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello @Valeryia!

There is no direct integration between Amplitude and Google Optimize.

The current solutions are:

  1. Pulling the variant data from your servers and upload the data into Amplitude via client side.
  2. Another option is, if Google Optimize has a method that allows you to grab the user's variant name and pass it to Amplitude, then that would be the best way to integrate the two platforms. The variant information should be passed to Amplitude via an Identify call to update the user's properties within Amplitude.
