When defining a custom session, is there an upper limit for how high the timeout can be?

Our usecase: our mobile app is used heavily in the background because users are listening to audio, however the Amplitude default background timeout for mobile apps is 5 mins.  Ideally, we’d like to be increasing this to something like 60 mins.

I haven’t come across any such limit in the docs at least. For testing purposes, I have previously tested with 1440 mins as the timeout period and the sessions charts reflected the metrics accordingly.

So your 60 mins should be good IMO.

There is no maximum limit to the session timeout. You can set the session timeout to what best suits your needs.
