Hi Team,

Just wanted to double check - the time clause ‘during X date range’ after the ‘Then’ clause in cohorts is related to our starting event and not the event mentioned after then clause. Like in this case :

During 1 Jan to 28 Feb will apply to open-editor and not  ‘access-app-complete’

Tia!

Hello Diksha,

Thanks for your question—happy to help!

Yes, you’re correct.

In a sequential cohort, the date range applies more strictly to the **first event in the sequence** (in this case, `open-editor`). The cohort works like a funnel analysis: it looks for users who performed the first event within the specified date range and then checks whether they completed the second event (`access-app-complete`) within the defined conversion window (120 days in your example).

This means if a user performs the first event on the very last day of the date range (Feb 28, 2025), they would still have the full 120-day conversion window (through June 28, 2025) to complete the second event and be counted as converted.

I hope this helps clarify! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
Jacenda
