Hi!

Some days ago I removed a bunch of useless Event Properties in our Tracking Plan to not count towards our limit. They were successfully removed. After that we kept on receiving Events with those Properties and I realized that there’s a Schema Setting that I didn’t set to ‘Reject’ before removing the Properties.

 

 

I’ve already changed it to ‘Reject’ and not store those Event Properties in the future. However, the problem is that I’m not being able to remove all stored Event Properties marked as ‘Unexpected’. How can I do that?

This looks like a bug that our Engineering team is working on. Could you please DM me your organization ID and the name of unexpected event properties that you would like to delete? I will take a closer look and add your case to the ongoing ticket. I will keep you updated once a fix is deployed.

In the meantime, here is a workaround to this:

  1. In the Events Page: Add the unexpected event property to the event
  2. In the Event Properties Page: Delete the newly added event property
  3. Publish the Branch
