Hi! I’m miller.

I use Amplitude to analysis the product in business.

I wonder is there a way to see unique IP in User Composition

In my product User Compotision, there are many amplitude_id from one IP address. some IP occurs hundreds of amplitude id, so it makes data dirty.

I don’t know why this happened, maybe because of our website problem like monitoring bot or cloud dev environment.

So, if there a way to filter IP address, please let me know !

Thanks.

Hey there,

thanks for writing in!

It is the case that we have a functionality available in the UI for the customers to use on their end to block IP addresses: https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016338212
I wanted to surface this to you in case you were not aware of this UI functionality!

The change is not retroactive in the sense that historical data cannot be deleted but we do have the drop filter tool that customers can use to drop the events from appearing on charts. The data will not be deleted but at least it will not be part of your analyses. https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/5078869299099

See our Drop filters: https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/5078869299099-Filter-events-with-block-filters-and-drop-filters

You can also filter out specific users on the fly in your charts:

Best,

Zhenia
