How do I deal with 'Unexpected' Event Properties

The Engineering team at our company recently added two new Properties to an existing Event.
I noticed these properties show up in Amplitude as 'Unexpected'. Do I hit 'Add' so these new properties are available to use in amplitude reports or is there something else I need to do here?

Also, is this a required step every time a new event or event property is added in the code?

Thanks for reaching out here @CarlB. Here’s more information about handling schema violations - link. Please let us know if this helps.

Hello @CarlB happy to help!

Unexpected means that the event/property was ingested into the project before it was planned within your tracking plan. I would agree with @Jeremie Gluckman to review the schema violation documentation.

Ingestion is not affected and to remove “unexpected” from the event/property you will need to add it to the tracking plan.

Thank you @Jeremie Gluckman and @eddie.gaona this was helpful.
