Hi team,

We’re using Branch SDK to integrate app INSTALL & REINSTALL(Critical events) into Amplitude. But Amplitude is not tracking those events for some reason, Could you please help us to resolve this.  FYI Other events are tracking like OPEN, & Custom events.

Branch.Io Team has evidence events are successfully sent to Amplitude.

Branch INSTALL and REINSTALL events come to Amplitude via the Attribution API which is a special API endpoint that has a couple of requirements. I highly recommend reading through this troubleshooting doc which will guide you through all of the steps you can take to troubleshoot this:

For a quick tl;dr, there are 2 requirements needed in order for Amplitude to ingest attribution events:

  • An existing user in Amplitude with the matching IDFA, IDFV, or ADID
  • Mapping completed within 72 hours
